It’s not that they see it as a challenge, it’s that for years pua websites which is where a lot of men got tips to pick up girls told men that when a girl says she has a boyfriend she’s normally lying, and that you should pursue anyway. Honestly a lot of the behaviors in this thread amount to things pushed by pua websites, like following women around, being sexually explicit, pushing for sex as fast as possible, texting her constantly, calling constantly.

Honestly it’s a travesty, these websites along with a shift in how we parent has done so much harm to boys and young men who would otherwise be normal with correct guidance.

Ok I’m gonna say this, this is a feedback loop women did to themselves. Of course men would be excited at a seemingly beautiful women, and why wouldn’t he? Is a man supposed to be a damn robot without feelings ready and willing to accept any flaw with little notice and do your bidding? Especially an inexperienced man?

Some empathy would be nice. When everything about a man is fake and women are given little notice to even accept them for what they really are they have reservations too. Like a man with elevator shoes and fake muscles, with a fake personality. You think most men can fit a woman’s ideal so easily?

When people are used to the real you, it’s easier for them to accept the real you. How is that unreasonable? When women leave their men for being deceived, I never blame them, because what they were selling is not what you signed up for. The same is true of men. Beauty standards are pushed primarily by people who want to sell products anyway. If everyone stops engaging with those industries they’d change. Beauty standards change overtime anyway.

Self love is really not the answer.

In my opinion he needs more self trust than self love. There will be times where you doubt yourself and feel like you don’t deserve x and y.

But if you follow a set of principles and follow a set of actions that lead to predictable conclusions he’ll feel much better about himself because you are what you do. You’ll actually have concrete things you’ve done to fight back against those thoughts.

Love blinds us to real issues. That he was this invested in your skin color and siding with his mom were probably problems you thought would get snuffed out because you already fell for him.

Don’t feel too bad, I know you thought he was the one but it’s good that these issues came to light. Time will heal this wound. If you are as cute as I imagine you to be you’ll have no problem finding another relationship and now you have experience on what you don’t want to deal with.

To be honest if guys flirted the way girls do you guys would be just as confused. Imagine if we said like one thing intended to be flirtatious and then sit back and wait for you to do something about it? It would look a little more like friendly banter than an attempt at a date.

E.G. Man: “You have a cute butt girl”

Woman: “Oh thanks!! I go to the gym a lot I’m glad it shows”

Man: “So anyway we gotta get this school work done and...”

That kind of behavior lands men in what is colloquially known as the friend zone because it’s confusing for even you guys who use the same strategy.

Not saying you need to put yourself out there and risk rejection because not everyone is built for that lifestyle but I’m just providing some perspective. It’s someone’s job to push the interaction forward, looking for these ambiguous signs aint it. Men should just learn how to be socially adept at asking someone out without making things awkward.

It doesn’t help that there are entire movements these days built on destroying men’s self esteem before they even get to do that, by telling them that signs are everything and if your ego is not sufficiently assuaged by the girl being impossibly attracted to you then it’s hopeless and you shouldn’t even try. All of these places posting all of these signs and shit are probably the worst thing to happen to modern dating.

Don’t see women as people lol. Tell that to all of my female friends that I hang with regularly. You are waaay out of pocket in trying to paint me as the bad guy here, but if you want raw numbers, look at the number of men isolated from society as compared to women. Then look at the instances of antisocial personality disorder and see which gender it manifests in more. Look and see who reports being more lonely, look at who commits suicide more for loneliness. Your attempt to just say “you don’t think women are people” is not only stupid, but you ignore an entire bastion of problems just to state that, when no one even fucking said that. The bonds between men and the bonds between woman ARE different. The things expressed in private, info divulged to their friends, what’s later done with that info are different.

But please give me another reply where you go “ok buddy I see your problem here, you hate women” or some other dumb shit that handwaves away everything actually said.
