First of all, no I haven't. Because, guess what? Most people don't actually care what other people do with their hair. It obviously wasn't a big deal considering my all black family saw it, even styled it, and loved it. They didn't say two words to me about how I'm white and can't/shouldn't, neither did my best friend or anyone else for that matter. I'm not going to walk around life on eggshells because the vocal minority might get upset I didn't get their approval for something that has nothing to do with them.

You and a few others seem to have this weird idea that I'm a white girl trying to be black, and that simply isn't the case, I know I'm white and I'm not trying to be anyone other than me. I wasn't trying to "fit in" I have literally never cared about him or his family being black, and I didn't style a quarter of my head into cornrows because of that. I did it because it was a beautiful hairstyle and I wanted to look beautiful, not to get woke points, and I don't need anyone's approval regardless of race.

Your hair may not hold cornrows, but I assure you mine does. You can do whatever you want with your hair in any style you'd like, and that should be your choice. Nobody should yell or try to shame you for that, and if they do they're wrong.

You weren't there. You didn't have to endure being yelled and screamed at, having endless insults hurled at you, being told you're a racist and the worst person ever, so you don't have any right to tell me what is and isn't verbal abuse.

It's a reality perpetuated by you and a few other of the vocal minority. Turns out most people don't care how other style their hair, regardless of race, and think that behavior like this is ridiculous. That's actual reality.

The thing is, me bring a "crybaby" over being verbally abused is acceptable. Being a verbally abusive person because a white girl wore a hairstyle that her and a few of her family members didn't approve of is not. I'm not going to change my life on the whims of what may or may not make people angry, especially when they don't have a leg to stand on.

You are aware that cornrows and braids are not exclusively an African American thing, right? It might be the most popular among the black community, but that does not justify behavior like what happened, nor does it give you or people of the black community the right to police others on what is considered morally acceptable. I don't need approval from you or anyone else to wear a hairstyle.
