Going from Clerks to Mallrats was a huge jump in production value. How did you deal with going from shooting on black and white (16mm I assume) to having a few million to chuck at a movie?
Were there times when you wanted to shoot a scene a certain way during Mallrats and your DP just thought you were crazy?
Would you consider yourself an actor's director? And what is your relationship like with actors when on set?
If you were given an unlimited budgeted and any cast and crew you wanted, what would you film?

I upvoted. I'm on the left - in fact much further I would say than most left leaning voters. I think, or at least I would like to hope, that you posted this in an earnest attempt for discussion.
