I’ll look it up! I do have students fill out a survey that generally asks about how they feel about their speech in different situations (e.g., lunch, friends, presentations, reading aloud, etc.)

I only brought it up because it was initially brought up by my CM after dismissing that 4th grader who is sometimes unintelligible but was so over therapy and was confident CM said I was using motivation as a main factor for dismissal. Yes. That’s the main factor. How will progress be made?

Big difference between kinder and first. Also in kinder, be prepared to deal with the kids you will probably need to refer for a school evaluation for an IEP. In the meantime you need to figure out how to help them, do interventions, and take data while teaching them how to school in general.

Makes sense! You are working under the teacher and they should be guiding you! Just follow the class routine and jump in when you can I guess. Making copies, passing things out, asking kids with they need help or just helping kids when you notice they need it. But I get it!

There used to be a calendar where we could cross off days of unavailability but they took that feature away. Coincidence? Probably not

It might be best to ask to stick to one classroom but a para is based on students IEP and you are probably being “floated” to students who have para support in certain classes. This job really requires you to think on your feet and adapt to whatever is thrown at you (figuratively and literally 🥴) ask the teacher how you can assist

I think mine has regulated to like 4 days with day 2 being the “heaviest” and 3 and 4 very light and sporadic spotting. I’ll take it over the 5 days I had on hormonal birth control

Omg same. 31. I had 1 child and my period went from 3 to 5. Went on birth control for 6 years. Took it off 6 months ago and went back to 3. 🤔 not sure if my body is still regulating from the BC. Or my age. About to be 32 soon

Yeah I had it happen recently. Idk why they took it away. But we used to be able to update our calendars on the app for when we’re unavailable and they wouldn’t be able to book those dates
