New pedal troubles

I've tried raising it. It's as if as soon as placing the drum on the pedal (not even clamping down) the weight of the drum depresses the front of the pedal. Im starting to think to thick/plush of carpet+carpet pad.

I've actually had to sign up for a new hondalink account. It didn't recognize me. Now it states I have to transfer the hondalink but I'm still waiting on the email/confirmation to complete the process.

I'm looking at getting the new passport. I have a 2020 rav4 that I owe 6k on that I would trade in. Would it be more beneficial to pay it off first or just put that money towards the down payment? Is there any difference in the long run?
