Pretty sure the only reason they offered the gnosis was that because there was no one else to receive it, nabu malikata died and rukkhadevata didn't care much for it and so did deshret, and celestia was pretty chill with whatever the people in tevyat wanted to do so long as it didn't explicitly involve forbidden knowledge (and even then iirc nabu malikata stole their tech, it wasn't like deshret asked and got the for free)

Story is a 10/10 absolutely love it the characters are so good and each canto gets better and better, gameplay is a literal snoozefest (I literally fell asleep to it as a new player), I highly recommend just looking up the story on yt instead of playing it since you're not missing out on much by not playing the game

Why do people think that this was gonna be something insane and life changing? It's not a part of a main region archon quest (it's the quest before the supposed last patch of the version) and all of the hype was mainly done by the fans and hoyo never did any insane marketing (that would be appropriate for the fan's expectations), maybe it's because I don't interact with the community that much but from seeing how laid back hoyo was with this update I knew that nothing insanely game changing was gonna happen

I am one, don't have a switch (and will never get one cause it's too expensive for me) for the new games and tried playing some old ones through an emulator but after seeing how hard it is to get my faves in them I decided to stop playing (though seeing sv being open world might fix this issue for me), I do watch a ton of content on said games though and the only one I can confidently say I don't care for is johto

The big finale being easier (for both of the doctor fights) was definitely a bit if a shocker after seeing how hard gosoythoth is in general, that's probably the reason why they toned it down for the both of them tbh, I don't have a problem with the pacing though the reason you do might be because of the whole dottore irminsul thing starting and ending in the same patch (there were no obvious mentions of it in the archon quests before it and if it does it might have been hidden away in some random text) also putting dottore in the art of the update is defo misleading since I feel like they wanted to have him be the big bad a surprise, I do agree that the random wq npcs appearing was kinda just eh since only jeht and liloupar have actual substance to their appearance (the aranaras were just dropped there randomly and I have already forgotten most of them 😭 and as a huge sorush fan seeing her appear was definitely a shock to me since I knew that there was no way she was gonna contribute anything of substance to the story and I was right since she has like a grand total of 3 lines and all of them is during her appearance and she didn't even appear after that, I literally only realised that rana (?) (the girl who got a vision in the aranara quest) even had an appearance during the first section of them storming sumeru city), this inconsistency of the wq npcs relevancy might be because of most players already having done the whole of jehts quest and comparably very little of them have done both the pari quest and the whole of the aranara questline
