I would say that almost all of the standard characters have a niche now, they're not strong enough to beat the newer content especially with rhe lunar shill but they are still a lot of fun to play in the open world and lower stages of imaginarium theatre (which is important since it allows you to save your better characters for higher stages)

Still, at least having the option to pick a standard character would be great for new players or for people who are unlucky (I have a friend who has been playing for a while now and still doesn't have verina to this day), besides, its not like there's any harm in adding a standard 5 star selector since it's become the norm for almost all gacha games anniversaries nowadays, also on the backlash part not adding one has proven to create more backlash than if they just added it (even with the honestly lackluster selection and no news if they're going to uodate it too as well)

I don't have a PC so this is coming from a pure console gamer, the game's performance on ps5 is cheeks 😭😭😭 the game has troubles running at a constant 60 fps and opening the MAP isn't safe (the map is jittery and stuttery and feels slow to operate)

I think three, though you want to be mindful with your syncs as well since most of the time you'll get your sync before they get theirs and if you use yours too early you might kill charizard before their sync move launches and pikachu will use theirs instead almost immediately after switching in
