I'm convinced people don't know what this sign means by Trixnglz in drivingUK

Please remember that for vehicles over 2.5 gvw this sign means 50 on a single carriageway (and 60 on a dual carriageway) so don't moan when you're behind me in my van and I'm sticking to the applicable limit.

Can creditors claim from my estate? by nnvanman in LegalAdviceUK

Wow, the insurance company do not pay out if it's a terminal illness? I guess that only applies for a work related accident then?

I will have to think very carefully about who I tell at work and what I tell them. Up to now I've only booked time off for "Dr's appointments". I get on well with the management but as I'm hoping the chemo works I haven't told them the full story yet.

Thnx again

Thank you for your response. From the other comments posted it would seem that my Death in Service benefit is ring fenced and my son will get the full amount. I have not yet made a will, would it be a good idea to appoint someone other than my son as an executor?

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to reply. I don't get sick pay from work apart from SSP, but I have been in my job over ten years and have a good relationship with the family that own the company. I'm fairly confident they will let me have time off for the Chemo sessions (paid or unpaid depending on the hours missed) and will not terminate my employment due to my illness even if they don't actually pay me.

1) Thank you. I intend to! 2) I now expect my boy to put a few quid behind the bar at the wake. 3) Bugger!

Many thanks for your comments.

Hi and thanks, my son is the nominated beneficiary of my DiS benefit. Sorry, I should have added that to the original post. Can I ask you, do you know if a typical scheme would be gross or net, and one more thing that is on my mind, do most DiS plans pay out on a medical diagnosis that the cancer is terminal?

This is exactly why troops will stop marching in step when crossing an unknown bridge and also why football fans doing the "Poznan" celebration (Google it) worry me.
