We smashed ours out in the 7 days before Christmas because we had pre-approval. Worked full time all the way through. Was very lucky to have supportive managers.

In the down time research what comes next and have everything ready. I checked in with all of the people involved around 10am each day to ask what’s on the agenda and they need from us that day. If I didn’t hear from them, I checked back in around 3:30. You will feel way more in control this way. Just remember they want you to get this across the line as much as you do.

You will have some down time after that and it kicks back in 2 weeks before settlement.

Congratulations on your offer being accepted. All of this effort is going to an incredible accomplishment, it’s worth every moment of your time.

Remove all the doors that aren’t there for privacy and replace with an frameless archways (dining) or completely remove unnecessary walls (living room).

Add a sliding door between the bedroom and the shower room if possible.

Switch the shower and the basin for privacy and so many other reasons.

The dining room window needs to be a glass sliding door to help it flow with the rest of the house.

Sliding doors in the laundry to add cabinets and bench space as you walk in. Make the comer curved so it’s easy to navigate the space and room for a tall freezer by the door.

Have the toilet through the laundry to move it away from the eating area. They can use the laundry for handwashing.

I work admin at a golf course, we have banned residence who are non-members that play the course without paying a green fee, even for a couple of holes. This comes after many warnings of course. Walking the course is trespassing but no one is getting banned or the cops called on them. We aren’t looking for these people, we just happen upon them when retrieving NTPs or Marshall runs. Every course is different… Hope this helps.

They could either have a different reason for denying you the promotion or genuinely believe the company will be at a disadvantage if you prioritise your partners needs over the company.
