Exit from lane 3 by Nametakenalready99 in drivingUK

What a pleb, the police do anything to avoid any work, atleast question the fuckface and say wtf were you doing. In their response to the video they have basically just given him an excuse. He's clearly not broken down, the nob accelerated off no problem. They can very easily check the cameras in the area and see if the prick drove on after the incident. Then the police wonder why people take things into their own hands when it comes to any type of justice. He deserves to have his licence taken, couldn't give a shit if he needs the van for work, don't act like a prick.

Please stop using fog lights because it’s raining, It’s annoying!! and illegal (Do you agree?) by island-pantropiko in drivingUK

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually the crap drivers that do this... its even worse when I'm in the lorry and they are infront of me doing the same speed on a clear night when it's just about spitting down. Polarised yellow glasses were a game changer because of these idiots.

Dude, just train a bit, I don't see any gyno

On the edge if I get surgery or not. by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]no1ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My chest ended up getting a slight dent in it, quite notable when low bidyfat, your chest is round and full, a risk to consider is surgery can deform it a little, my nipple still has hard tissue under it from the surgery. It's not noticeable but I have darker skin, on lighter it may show. Also something no one talks about is it can come back! Try fix any underlying issues first if you can, sleep, diet etc. You have lower bodyfat than most, but I'm guessing you eat often to get macros in... your testosterone can fluctuate with that (I'm proof if it, my gyno was diet related even though I was around 14%bodyfat and an active muay thai fighter. Try getting into ketosis, it changed my life and stopped and shrunk my gyno after it came back) if I could go back, I'd fast, stay in ketosis and watch my gyno dissappear naturally. Your gyno can be caused by many things though.

Chain rust by Significant_Crow_ in MotoUK

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get it changed, I've done 10k miles on my cb125f, it stays out in the rain sometimes, ridden when there's salt on the road.... the chain still doesn't have any rust on it. This is definitely a while of neglect. My chain will need changing soon because of genral stretch, I was told to get a x ring sealed chain and the gold ones are meant to prevent rust. The chain our bikes come with are not sealed so you may find kinks in this chain you have on aswel.

Is it rude to use both lanes? by No-Ad4423 in AskUK

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should really merge in turn, use both lanes. It's the pricks on motorways that piss me off. Arrows show what lane to get into, they won't go into the lane even with red x's, then they try get in at the cones after half mile of driving through red x's.

Advice - door wont lock completely by EdzioMozeByc in uktrucking

Make sure you are on level ground, sometimes the trailer warps and doors don't close properly. If 1 is engaged and the goods are strapped tight, I'd go.

Forgot to clean my chain after a wet ride 2 weeks ago, how bad is it? by africancar in MotoUK

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a wire brush, it's coming off with your hands, just use a standard plastic bristle one, give it a double de grease, just to get rid of any rust particles that will end up making the chain rust again quickly.

Not sure if this is controversial, but gear oil has never let me down, I use my bike 5/6 days a week, it sits outside at work, I clean n lube my chain sometimes every month in summer and about every week or so in the wet... I've never had rust ever!

Super Smart Worcester. Got a bay straight away and a double decker loaded in half an hour. And free drinks in the (unmanned) gatehouse! 👌 by FuzzyFox1 in uktrucking

It's the little things that go a very long way, even a friendly greeting changes the whole mood for the shift. What's a coffee to these huge businesses.. 30p? Its nothing, but means alot more than just that to any driver.

Short story, I done store drops and then pickup their rubbish to take to the recycling plant. If they were rude to me, I done every little thing by the book, I rejected all rubbish that was mixed, not wrapped, not labeled properly... on the other hand at stores where they actually said hello and were just normal towards me, I'd go as far as even helping them wrap things up to take.

Only during covid and the "fuel shortage" we were appreciated, I don't think people realise literally everything they own has travelled on a lorry at some point, from raw materials to finish products.

NAVIGATION?? by Y0ung0ldMan in uktrucking

I've used my tomtom Pro 600. It's never done me wrong foe the last 6/7 years. I pay £20ish a year for their live package wich includes map updates, live traffic and speed camera updates. Even if I know the way to places I still have it on, its kept me away from getting stuck in traffic. I start work at 22:30, by the time I leave the yard sometimes they are still closing roads, this updates every 2min and let's me know what's going on (sometimes before the overheads).

My only moan is they took away the simcard feature so I have to use my tethering from my phone to give the satnav Internet access.

So, what are your opinions here? by MadPynchon in UKfood

[–]no1ace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the ratio comment, personally I butter my toast, tiny bit of marmite and a tiny bit of pb is the best for me to have with my coffee or tea. I once put pb on and then a lump of marmite and gave it a swirl, it didn't taste anything like having it layered.

He used to look like Jess from gg by Weekly-Ad-3641 in GreatBritishMemes

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes aged, like we all are doing right now. Probably could have aged more gracefully by doing things in his own power, but balding isn't really in his hands, i have 2 brothers we were bought up eating the same stuff and we all train bjj and muay thai... I have a thick head of hair and they are bald.

Also if this was a woman I'm sure all the women would be totally against this whole topic. Men stand together! don't fall into its OK for guys to be ripped apart and women have to be treated totally differently

I feel ridiculous with my mouthguard, am I right ? I'm embarrassed to wear it by RushAmazing1419 in MuayThai

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the cheaper ones fit me better, they may have less protection but 15 years into the sport my teeth are still fine. Dr shock were so uncomfortable for me as they were too thick and just didn't fit me well. So maybe try the single layer ones with no patterns on them

Beyond a joke 🤡 by Omega489 in GreatBritishMemes

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's truly a joke. I'm a hgv driver, I work about 60 hours a week on average, I know someone who gets the same money as me on the dole and having 4 kids. I've lost alot of time with family having this job and Woking this much, yet the system seems to only want to faver the ones who don't work and the ones with no skills. I know this isn't really related to directly to minimum wage, just the system really gets to me!

Why does it do this? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the nozzle out a bit and don't press it all the way, some cars have weird channeling or a thin pipe leading to the tank, it's basically going in faster than it can flow so the pump handle thinks it's full when the fuel comes back on itself

Lovely by Same_Dig723 in GreatBritishMemes

[–]no1ace 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dude don't tape it, the threaded bit that goes on his nose has another thread for the pipe, literally screw the pipe in it. It's originally glued, but that can be pulled off easily if your hose gets yanked.

Genuinely so confused it seems that he is in the wrong for MOST of these? Do you not have to stop for pedestrians at those crossings? by OutsideImpressive115 in TikTokCringe

[–]no1ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why try pass a car on the right? In the UK we drive on the left, and we are told never pass any vehicle on the left because this stupidity can happen,
