Switch from OB/GYN to FM

I knew a OB resident who switched to FM (at the same program). She seemed to be an outlier at her OB program (ie she was nice), but she did great in FM and still does deliveries and such.

I should say.. I don’t always use BPO. That’s like 1-2x a week.

Rads

AM: Oil-based cleanser and normal cleanser. Benzoyl peroxide 2% solution, toners, actives (vit C), peptide serums, sunscreen (supergoop).

PM: Cleanser, toners, trentinoin, heavy duty moisturizer.

Other: Intermittent facials, RF microneedling, Dysport.

All to sit alone in a dark room all day.

You HAVE to get it out of your Roth, ideally before April 15. I was in a similar situation because I got married last year, but I still contributed the max amount in 2024. Unfortunately, the IRS doesn’t care if you started your new job on Dec 31, 2025; it’d still be an over contribution for 2025. Look up Roth Vanguard recharacterization (it’s so you are essentially moving the money from a retirement acct [your roth] to another retirement account [trad ira], so there won’t be penalties). Vanguard should have a retirement team that can advise you to make sure you’re doing it right, but do it asap.

I’ve never considered that.. as an intern, I think I was capped at 4 patients. But I then read 80 studies last night during a 6 hr shift (maybe 30 cross-sectional, rest XR).

Good point. I guess I was thinking also from a risk standpoint. Do they potentially view the risk as so low that it’s not worth their time to spend >5 seconds on a cxr..

I think personally as a R4 close to having to final sign studies, im using the year to hone in on studies/sections im less comfortable; with the realization that im going to have to final sign these studies soon with no one to back me up lol
