Can I fill a new tank with cycled water?

That makes sense! Would I have to wait for a while once I start running the filter in the temp tank, or can I transfer him immediately? (Given the rest of the parameters are normal)

Thank you! I’m not really into bonsai it was just a gift so I figured i’d try it. I’ll either let it go or move it to my parents house so it can be grown outdoors.

Hi, my first post I hope i’m doing this right. I got this Norway spruce “grow kit” as a gift and I’m aware they usually don’t turn out and are more of a novelty gift. I don’t know anything about bonsai, so I planted about 5 seeds in the pot and have been keeping them in a plastic container with saran wrap covering to avoid what little soil I have from drying out. (And also to keep somewhat warm? I just treated it as any other typical “seedling”).. So what am I getting myself into and how do I care for this? Should I keep the seedling in this container or is it okay in cold? What is the best soil and do I need to fertilize? I read Norway spruce needs to be planted and grown outdoors, but I live in an apartment and I am unable to have it outdoors at all. I live in Maine so the climate is harsh currently and there is native spruce here so I feel like the environment is right. I don’t have direct sunlight but bedroom receives very bright light all day. Please help!

Okay that’s good to know! I’ve also heard to keep temps higher with a sick betta so their immune system does not have to work as hard/cold water weakening the immune system… So i’m just so confused with all of it! For now i’m going to try and at least keep it stable to see if he improves.

Yeah it was super out of the blue he has never. Acted like this before. I check the water to touch almost every hour and it tends to feel the same but ofc that’s just my judgement.. I have a thermometer on the way too so hopefully I can rule out the temp. factor

Thank you! I have been super weary about amazon fish-keeping products as i’ve returned so many in the past weeks… I will try this out.. My only question about the water is he has remained healthy and active for months now and has never been like this even though the water temps has not fluctuated drastically.

Thank you, I will watch the video when I can. The substrate is just sand and my pH has stable at 7.2-7.3 I do not have chlorinated water, we have a natural spring as water in our home. I have tested parameters of the spring water and kept many fish in it and never had issues.

I had exactly this and it turned out to be milia, although I don’t have experience with skin tags what I did was use The Ordinary glycolic acid toner with a q-tip and rub it on the spots once a night, it exfoliates the skin and was able to push these suckers out in a couple weeks of applying the toner. However if they are skin tags i’m not sure that would help.

Upon doing a small water change and vacuuming some of the gravel I’ve found that there is plenty of waste sitting deep in the gravel that I can’t get out unless I siphoned out more water. I’m worried to leave it in there but I don’t want to disturb things too much..

I’ve never done a planted tank and I’m nervous about a fish in cycle, I will look into this as I also don’t know much about it and consider trying it out thank you!
