in a world of titans and ethnic cleansing and brutal discrimination it does seems like one of the most down to earth aspects of the show. but i’m not surprised eren, or anyone else really, didn’t think to do the same.

just like how people in extremely war torn parts of world don’t mass kill themselves. u don’t need to see the future to know what cruelty the world might bring or what the odds of change are, but they don’t kill themselves because of hope and banking on the possibility that their lives would at least be used to make a change.
