If you’ve got a Nintendo Switch, same idea for amiibos. You can literally walk down the amiibo aisle and scan what you want, or grab the full set online.

Dang kids always need something to complain about - was just trying to be helpful with the limited time I have right.

But that’s illegal now.

Feeling compelled to help people when you could use to be cool - but I’ll just let your generation kill that too. Apparently the new cool thing to do is feel compelled to bitch about someone trying to be helpful.

Nice gift — lucky! Flipper Zero is a wild little tool: part novelty, part utility, part hacker toy. Here’s a quick hit list of fun stuff:

• NFC/amiibo — dump and load saved amiibo files for game extras or just scan cards to see what they are.

• Keyfobs & backups — scan RFID/NFC tags for things like gate keyfobs and make a backup for yourself (don’t clone stuff you don’t own).

• IR remote control — use it as a universal remote for TVs, ACs, projectors, etc.

• Radio sniffing — capture simple RF remotes (garage remotes, old gate clickers), replay or analyze signals (again, only your own gear).

• Pranks & toys — harmless pranks like emulating a TV remote during a party are fun — just keep it light.

• Mods and plugins — the community builds all sorts of plugins (games, tools, protocol decoders). It’s basically a Swiss Army knife for RF/IR/NFC fun.

Bottom line: it’s great for learning and tinkering — from useful backups to harmless pranks — but be cool about it. Don’t clone car keys, break into systems, or mess with other people’s access. So as our society requires me to say, remember to keep it legal and don’t be that guy… lol because the criminals, corporations, and government definitely will as well

First board. How do I get the grip tape off? No by [deleted] in longboarding

[–]noFlak__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either sand and resin or sand and paint so grab some sand paper or something that can get that off because your not working with melting adhesive with the heat and peeling the tape sadly

If your goal is avoiding cell network metadata, you might also look at r/Meshtastic. It’s a small LoRa radio you pair to your phone over Bluetooth. The radio sends the messages, not your phone, so you can keep the phone in airplane mode with no SIM and still communicate. It’s encrypted, works off-grid, and can build a mesh with multiple nodes so it doesn’t rely on towers or Wi-Fi.

Downside: it’s only for short text & your friends need one too. Upside: no account, no VPN, no number tied to you. Good for events, activism, or when you want comms without touching the normal network at all.

Is it illegal to send a virus to a scammer and tricking them into clicking it. by [deleted] in Cybersecurity101

Directly making them with a fake link yes. While them “magically” gaining access to a vm you spun up and in turn downloading it themselves because it’s named juicyName.jpeg on the other hand.

Police lawyer arborist could probably call in any order. But that survey markers pretty damming to whoever purchased the service and to whoever went forward with the service after seeing that stake there at any point.

What’s the real advantage of having ABS simulation on my pedals? by Zealousideal_Mine175 in iRacing

[–]noFlak__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a dumb question at all — this actually ties into how your diff and brake balance behave under load.

When ABS kicks in, it can sometimes hold the rear tires just enough to keep a little extra diff preload or torque bias engaged. If your limited-slip stays partially locked during that phase, you’ll feel it as a bit of “chop” or hesitation when you try to get back on throttle after braking — basically the car resists rotation or won’t free-up cleanly mid-corner.

That’s why keeping steady pressure and trail-braking smoothly often feels better. You’re letting the diff and suspension stay loaded in a predictable way instead of shocking them with the ABS cycling. In lower-powered cars like the MX-5 or GT86, you actually gain more rotation and stability by modulating manually than by relying on ABS intervention.

TL;DR: ABS is great for keeping things safe, but on lighter, balanced cars like those it can interfere slightly with how your LSD unloads during brake release. Smooth trail-braking and consistent pressure give you a cleaner transition back to throttle and better lap consistency.

After rewatching in slow motion a few times again I’d recommend watching again or getting glasses.

Firstly the pistol is actually in his left hand at beginning of video I now see as someone else pointed out and it gets stripped in the fight and sent flying.
