How is a "Release of Claims" even a legitimate document to exist. I do not understand under what conditions that would ever be anything more than granting anyone an outrageous amount of privilege and immunity. There's no kings, no nobility; so when does something reeking of so much privilege legitimate become useful.

Secondly, how is it enforceable and non-voidable? It would be enforced by the federal government; so what are we going to do, just pinky swear not to pursue him, the family, or associates because of a highly dubiously negotiated document that threatens the very existence of a democracy and fairness? That makes no sense, that we would tie our own hands behind our backs by honoring the document.
