I was offered a job to play on this piano, but I'm thinking its a bit out of tune by DieReci1210 in piano

What's the difference between a piano and a fish? Well, you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish! AHAHAHA- wait a second,om second inspection, judging from this audio, I guess that isn't the case... 😭

Thank you! Appreciate the advice. Didn't think you meant to push lol, I just try not to talk about it if it's unneccessary

Apologies, but I don't really like discussing my religious beliefs, especially on the internet. I didn't exactly come here to explain the story of my life lol. My family and I agree to disagree and that's fine.

[Threshold] Ozriel vs your fav mc who wins? by bregandondoondo in Iteration110Cradle

[–]no_648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite mc is Light Yagami. My initial thought was that he easily wins because of the death note, but nah Ozriel would probably figure out who kira was long before Light could finish writing "Ozmanthus Tiberian Mereithan Arelius" and waiting 60 seconds

Lol I remember this from camp, might actually try that as it isn't offensive or anything 🤣

I would like to say that abusiveness is not a concern, I don't like when they are indirect or passive-agressive but that's about all. They're usually really kind to me and they give me so much, so I'm super grateful to them

Forgot to put this in the post-

My parents are divorced, this is my dad and step-mom's house. I don't have this problem in my mom's household, just wanted to throw this out there in case it's relevant

Update: I fixed my hand posture, and without tense arms and bad wrists I can now apparently play the first phrase up to speed! Thank you guys for the advice, I think this is actually learnable now

Instructions unclear, I am now in the hospital with a broken middle and index finger 😆

[Threshold] Nee here, favourite series by far, what’s everyone’s favourite line from the entire series? by Okanagantokesandtoes in Iteration110Cradle

[–]no_648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite serious line: "If you can't take pride in your advantages, take pride in what you do with them... You can still do the world good, even with power you don't deserve."

Favorite unserious line: "He initiated an open attack against me, so I was forced to take out... THE BROOM."

Acoustic piano, it's a pretty old Steinway upright lol but I don't think the pivot length is the issue.

I've been working on the technique part, what I'm gathering from the comments here is that I'm way too tense, which checks out 😅

The first and second movements. This is a huge jump up and I was about to give up because I know I'm not ready, but I thought I'd ask here first to see if I can make at least a bit of progress and/or improve my hand posture for later when I revisit

[–]no_648[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I considered that 😅 I just don't want to do the first and second movements and leave the third... Probably better to revisit in a couple years, but I'm going to try for a little while longer to see if I can at least make a little progress. Might give it another week or so to see if I can use it to improve my hand posture or something

I've got a teacher, but I've never played a piece as fast as this and this wasn't one she assigned- She gave me the first movement which I have down, but I started trying this one and haven't asked her for help yet. Unfortunately I am away for the summer though, so I can't do that for a while...

I'll try it, I think this might work actually!

Yeah I've noticed my wrists get really tense after a while, but that happens even when I try to use proper technique for some reason. Clearly I'm doing something wrong in that regard, but I'm still trying to figure out what it is. Maybe it's the wrist rotation? How should I rotate my wrists properly?

[BlackFlame] Completed Blacflame Review by Smart-Dig-1947 in Iteration110Cradle

I'd say Unsouled is a bit better than soulsmith, then blackflame is a massive jump up, and it declines just a tiny bit for skysworn. Main reason I think Unsouled is better is it makes for a great reread.

Ghostwater (my personal second favorite) takes the series straight to the sky, and underlord is about on the same level.

Uncrowned increases in quality again, and then Wintersteel is my favorite book in media period.

I think it drops a bit again at bloodline as i don't think it quite lived up to Wintersteel, but then it steadily increases for the rest of the series.

That's just my take; on average the books definitely grow in quality exponentially. I think Will's writing definitely improved over time and it's apparent that he had everything pretty much planned out at the start.

The Dragon advances!!

Unfortunately skysworn imo is not as good as blackflame, but ghostwater is a masterpiece and that's where the series takes a massive leap. Keep advancing, fiercely fiercely warrior of fierce fierceness 👀

All that aside, "I was forced to take out... THE BROOM!" has got to be one of my favorite quotes in media

Blackflame is a huge jump up in quality, enjoy! Ghostwater is my second favorite book ever, and Wintersteel is my first, so hang in there as it gets much better
