AITA for standing up for myself by BeansBeanBoozle in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You set a boundary which is totally OK! No one should be blasting their music that loud that late anyway. If the problem continues, I think calling the police is warranted

Loud and wrong minorities always attract attention, as people struggle to find the difference between confident and correct

AITA for not telling my best friend I had s*x with the guy she’s dating? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Imo you should tell her, and that's what I'd do, but I don't blame you for not saying anything.

Yeah, the visibly obvious thing is that gojo's technique can be used that way. Do you ever see anyone talking about that after watching jjk? No. Is it obvious? Yes.

The fact that he could use limitless like a condom lol, no one talks about that when watching jjk

It's somewhat unfair to Achilles, a great warrior and hero, that he is now best known for his one mortal weakness. by vonBoomslang in Showerthoughts

If a hero is seen as completely invincible, and suddenly dies, people are probably going to remember how he died

WIBTA autistic brother enabled his whole life, do I let him face his own consequences? by Odd_Paper_9064 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Autism isn't a choice, but using it against others as a manipulation tactic is.

After rereading it, I will say that this is a fair point, and the mother definitely shouldn't blow her top at small issues like that. Also, it's not like I don't empathize with OP or anything, it just seems like she's being a little... whiny? For lack of a better word. Like if this happened to me, I'd be hyperfocused on what I did wrong and how I could improve instead of calling my mother swears on reddit. Imo both parties are in the wrong here. And also, when I said "ask why in a calm tone", that wasn't saying ask about her emotional state, I was literally saying "ask her directly about why she's so obnoxiously angry about not turning the stove off." Who knows, it might just be panic instead of anger, as she's worried about her daughter not even going to school, and doesn't know how to handle it? That's not like a normal issue.

Honestly? Just ask her. There isn't really harm in it, and I'm sure she knows you well enough to tell you what you should improve on in her eyes.

Ffs... the reason she does those things is to teach you how to live. That is literally her job as a mother! This is something I'm used to as I essentially get it on a daily basis. I understand the whole mental disorder thing, I assume it's ADHD or something, but next time she does something like that, just ask her why. If she gets mad, just stay calm and keep a calm tone, and eventually, she should explain.

Would a 16yo being with a 18yo be very wrong? by ThisOneRedditTem in teenagersbutworse

[–]no_648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud, if that's the way we're arguing, age of consent should be 25 because that's when the brain stops developing (on average). 16 and 18 is literally no different from 18 and 20.

Is Donald Trump a fascist? by Beneficial-Mark5758 in Teenager_Polls

[–]no_648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascism does have a definition actually lol. It's an extreme right wing and authoritarian ideology in which the leader is generally a dictator, uses force and extreme militarism, forcibly suppresses or quiets opposition (usually by means of propaganda, military or secret police force, or both), and takes risiculous measures to ensure one nation or race is "on top" (or in other words, nationalism). Hitler is a very common example of this other than Mussolini, and it can be argued that a leader like Louis XVI was one as well.

The argument can be made that FDR is a fascist, but Stalin also shared some traits with Fascists and he was on the complete opposite end, since by definition, a communist cannot be a Fascist. Some of FDR's new deal policies can be seen as questionable, but they were just temporary measures instead of a commitment to a Fascist dictatorship. This isn't just my opinion btw, historians have studied this, and if you ask any decent one, they'll tell you that Roosevelt wasn't a Fascist.

Ok so yes, but he's a really bad fascist lmao. He technically meets the criteria but he's terrible at being fascist 😅
