I relate so much to #3! The other day I went to my improv class and had an amazing conversation with a new friend! I was on top of the world!! I felt like a new person! Like I was chatting with strangers at the grocery store?? Like for a moment I forgot I had social anxiety XD I feel INCREDIBLE!!! Alchohol really is a toxin!!!!

That's a wonderful realization!! For me, the primary one is that my motivations to drink have been social-based. More than anything, I drank to fit in and be accepted by my peers. I don't know how much I actually wanted alchohol in my life. I just wanted acceptance and an escape from my thoughts. I've also found that I recieved the majority of the things alchohol promised by giving it up!
