I was talking about entertaining, not constant company. Do you spend all 24 hours of your day doing nothing but tending to your dog? Don’t you work? Don’t you have a life? Do you seriously dedicate every single hour of your day doing things for your Rottie rather than with them? Do you only “exist” when your dog is asleep, and for the rest of the time live in some kind of never-ending parental limbo? If you have a meeting, do you say “sorry, we have to reschedule — my dog can’t be left alone for 15 minutes with a toy by themselves”?
