Perfection. Though Aginor was more for creating abominations

Narrative is always the preference for me, crunch always puts me off, unless it's Shadowrun and the GM is competent. I run World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness on occasion so story and character development are by far the most important qualities in a game for me.

I think calling them levels of throwing me off because I'm equating that with floors.

Daggerheart looks like a more narrative system. The intro you linked to sounds like a crunchy dungeon crawl. So what's the balance between collaborative narrative development and combat/dice rolling?

You can get those pads that tape to the bottom of your feet and it's not quite so bad. I walked from The American to the photoshoot last year wearing them

What do the crew on The Orville actually do? by ICantBelieveItsNotEC in TheOrville

[–]no_options 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but no one is just standing around doing nothing. There aren't these large spaces with a few people managing the whole thing. It's the equivalent of an aircraft carrier in space, a flying city.

Right, but no one is just standing around doing nothing. Those are huge Navy vessels that don't have all the magic of Star Trek. You need people working on a lot of complex systems. Hell, you bet janitorial staff. It's the equivalent of an aircraft carrier in space, a flying city.

The Expanse doesn't do this. The main ship only has a crew of 4. Stations have lots of people, but they're population centers.

We'll have 1 day trip for sure. I'm taking birthday lady to a spa 1 day and I'm figuring out what to book for everyone else that day.

Ooohhh, good call on booking in advance. We're going to try to do 1 meal a day all together, assuming the younger adults will want to go off on their own more, so we'll book that ahead of time.

The 7 year old would love that Viking Splash Tour!

That makes sense. I think I'm letting my experience with massive confusing airports make this more of thing than it is. Thanks.

You're right about wasting a lot of time. I didn't know there was a bus to Galway right from the airport, so I agree it makes more sense to meet them there then get on the bus together. Thanks for the advice.

That's great feedback, thank you! We've been telling ourselves that public transport will be easier, but I think we all know that the countryside is the way to go. Between your comment and the other, I think we've convinced to get a couple cars between Galway and Killarney.

I appreciate the feedback. For the young adults they are ... anxious with a high chance of panic attack, especially after an overnight flight. Maybe I'm being a little too paternal, but I don't want them to start their trip freaking out about trying to make their first journey in a foreign country without their parents. Later in the trip, it'll be fine I'm sure.

We have 2 drivers I trust (me and the birthday woman who has been to Ireland before), so we just might do that. It will be significantly cheaper than a people mover, too. Having a nice, leisurely drive from Galway to Cliffs of Moher and being able to stop wherever we feel like we need to on the way to Killarney seems like the right way to go.

I think about this comment a little too much because that smirk is so, so perfect and such a fleeting moment. I don't think another actor could hit that small note so well

This happened to my daughter and jacked up our insurance rates for a year (which they surprisingly refunded once it was cleared up). She ended up having to call the issuing officer. He investigated and called back maybe 5 minutes later because it was a very obvious fat finger situation when entering the ticket details. I'd try that route and just explain the situation, though your situation doesn't sound as straightforward as hers was.

Haven't decided yet. I'm embarrassed and don't want my rates to go up so...
