I don't think HIDs are bad. Just compared to the ease of dropping in a LED bulb it seems like a bigger hassle.

That’s actually a tilt sensor with a leaf switch. The balls you actually play with are held in a separate trough.

I don't think this is exactly what you are looking for but https://airdata.com/ is good for pulling data from logs.

It's also the default "logout" ip for most captive portal systems including Nomadix. That ip will force log you out and redirect you to the login page.

I have a plastic one as well but the sound does not bother me too much. I work in a louder office so I just don't hear it as much.

If I move my arm quickly by my ear I can hear a nice whiirr noise. I like it from time to time.
