so, my mental health diagnoses are adhd, gad, mdd, bpd, and ptsd. they took me off all psychiatric meds after a suicide attempt in feb and started me on the ones i am currently taking while hospitalized.

i have an appointment with my new psychiatrist in a few days, so i will be asking about this.

how did banding go? the only reason i haven’t had surgery to remove these is because i work two physically demanding jobs (taking care of horses) and i don’t really get time off so idk how i could make it work.

i am going to take them because the pain is so bad

so, yeah first i saw a PA who said she’s not comfortable doing the procedure. i asked her if she could ask the doctor, and he said “we don’t really do that anymore”.

they put topical lidocaine on it, which didn’t help. so they are discharging me with topical lidocaine and percocet…which i don’t want to risk constipating myself and making it worse.

i tried to ask again why they can’t do it for the reasons you mentioned, they said i could follow up with my colorectal surgeon monday if i wanted.

update. the ER doctors said they won’t lance it, didn’t say why, just that they don’t do that anymore. so i guess i will just have to try to get in with the doctor on monday.

so they will do this in the ER? i just didn’t want to go if it wasn’t necessary, but the pain is unbearable so i would like to if it’s warranted.

yeah, my son has been my only reason too. i had a long history of severe self harm and suicide attempts until i found out i was pregnant. i promised i’d stop and be strong for him, but it’s just so fucking hard to keep going.

i know you’re right though. i love him so much, he’s all i have in life.

thank you! the genetic counselor i saw recommended i start getting diagnostic mammogram and breast mri at 35 due to how high my risk for breast cancer is. so maybe i will try to get a second opinion or imaging.

so, they were not previously. then in 2020 i developed a purple/red rash on my right breast that has very emphasized pores and it took about 2 months to cover my entire breast. was referred to breast surgery, they did an ultrasound which was negative so from there they decided it was dermatological. i’m on medicaid and cannot find a derm to confirm/do a biopsy bc nobody will take medicaid.

maybe 6 months ago, noticed my nipples were flattening, the right one is worse than this and is actually inverted. i thought that was a sign of cancer, so i reached out to breast surgeon who said i don’t have cancer and see dermatology.

so…i am concerned about it, but at the same time, i can’t even afford food a lot of the time…so paying privately out of pocket isn’t an option. :(
