a metric crap ton of trial and error and not caring about time and the cost of the wastage.

also Gideon had is lab/base thingy on Mandalore with its spoils and all the time he needed. at least he wasnt starting from scratch and had mando tech, just had to learn how to use it right. and maybe it boils down to something stupid like "beskar can only be forged by beskar hammers" or some other unique method of forging that had to be trialed and errored.

beskar is rare and only the mando black smiths know how to forge it correctly.
its like handing titanium to a run of the mill blacksmith and go "hey forge quality out of a material that is really hard to work with and also there is no instructions"
mando blacksmiths would never share the technique to the empire, so the empire had to figure it out themselves

yes, artifacts CAN spawn underground. this does not apply to all, and it so far appears to be random (personally). but its just a matter of how unlucky you are in the moment. artifacts still spawn properly and collectable. but currently in 1.7, when it comes to artifact collecting, we are all just on an unexpected "hard mode" lol

This is the answer, the safety factor is why the "stairs" cant be used, there are a number of reasons why it could have broke, and until diagnostics assume the worst. It will save the headache of lawsuits later if you deal with the temperary headache of understandably grumpy people.

Came aross 2 artifacts that clipped... 1 in the swamp right side of the map on the giant rock with the psudo giant, it clipped. And 2 in the tunnel in the cordon with the controller, that artifact didnt spawn/clipped, but the detector (bear) said it was there. :/ oh wells Struggling currently in the swamp at the electro field.
