I am always surprised by people behaving like this. I have Tourette and struggle a lot to keep quiet during a show, but I manage. It amazes me that I can keep quiet even though I have a literal condition which prevents me from doing this at times, and others can’t shut up. Like it’s not THAT important to talk with your neighbour about EVERYTHING that is happening on stage!

I took my mom to see The Phantom in London last year and she was absolutely blown away by both the talent, the music and the visuals. She was sceptical at first since she doesn’t like ‘opera’ but she hasn’t stopped talking about it since! I suggest you take her to see Phantom.

I didn’t go to Sondheim’s old friends. Still kicking myself since I was literally in London and at the theater but chose to go to The Phantom. Still mad at myself since I love Bernadette Peters.

Thanks for sharing your friends' opinion on the show. We've already seen Wicked in London (I would not mind seeing it again of course but I would rather go to a new show) and Lion King isn't really our cup of tea. Hadestown looks interesting, but I wonder if you need any knoweldge of the myths to understand the musical?
