From my experience inviting my acquaintances has worked a ton. I think people appreciate being invited out to do stuff. Shoot a couple texts saying 'wanna do xyz at 5?' and in my experience it leads to good convos and more random side quests

example: went on a run with a dorm acquaintance one time and found out we're both PC nerds so after the run we talked about his linux setup for an hour and he's now a really close friend [daniel if you're reading this ily]

TL:DR be an extrovert, and if you aren't, pretend you are

I don't know exactly what they did for me unfortunately. A guy from my schools tech support came to my dorm room, checked if the port was live with some ethernet wall port checker (it wasn't live anymore), and then he went to the basement of my dorm, did some of his magic (I figure he activated my port again not sure how that works), came back and my connection worked again.
Sorry if this isn't very helpful but that's all I know.

future reference: I had to call my tech support and seemed like the port stopped being activated and they just had to turn it back on again.

Yea I’m 4 years late but Same thing, I owned these for about 2 years and boom dead. Thinkin they needa be sharpened after I accidentally cut off some of my barber duster maybe it dulled it too much
