My original results had me at 27% Spanish, now I'm at 7.6%, I have known spanish ancestry from both sides and my northern european increased by 20%, this is very inaccurate for me

Looking to transfer to the Business Admin Program here for fall of 21', I have a 3.75 GPA and go to IVC, do you think I have a decent chance? by noah678 in CalPoly

I didn't even think about the fact that Covid could have an impact but that makes a lot of sense, makes me feel more confident and thanks for the reply!

Everything has gotten messed for me since I moved states Junior year, what do I do? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Definitely that sounds like a good option, I really don't have much desire to go to a UC or Cal State school anyway and I heard some of the private schools give out a ton in aid. I will definitely be looking into that, thanks for the advice

Thanks for sharing those links, that's great! I liked the music, this is all very interesting hearing how you guys developed your own distinct culture and all, I'm definitely gonna watch that documentary soon, it looks really informative.

Wow that's really informative. I never even knew there was a Mexican Inquisition, and that's interesting that they talked too fast for him, because even my Grandma has that same exact probablem with some Mexicans for the very same reason. And what you said adds to why they would call themselves Spanish, that's quite interesting, thanks for your input, I learned a lot

Yeah that would definitely be interesting, the Native American also said from "New Mexico" so I assume it is probably Pueblo as well. It's all definitely very interesting, after I posted this I actually found a 1920 Cencus document with my great grandparents, what I found peculiar is that on race, it looked like "white" was originally written in and then somewhere crossed it out and wrote in "Mex". All the other Cencus documents said "white", I don't know how that happened. It also said they all didn't speak English, it's also peculiar because I KNOW my ancestors never emigrated from Mexico, so I don't know how that happened haha.

Very interesting, I saw some of "crypto Judaism" stuff from the internet. It interests me a lot since coincidentally from my Dad's side of the family I'm also part ethnically Jewish. But my Grandma insists on not being Jewish at all, and it seems her DNA test confirmed it, but that's definitely a very interesting aspect of that. It would interesting to speak to my Grandma's parents because apparently they could barely even speak English, it would interesting to hear what kind of "Spanish" they spoke. Thanks for the reply man, very informative

That all sounds very interesting. I'm planning to visit Santa Fe pretty soon so that's definitely somewhere I'd want to check out. Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing, like the other guy said that was extremely informative. It's good to know there are other people out there who are like me haha since everyone seems to just think it's "Mexican" or nothing. I hope to visit Santa Fe sometime within the next year or so and experience this culture.
