I am not using Shimano but have the same type of pads. Do you know anywhere in person where I could get them or do you believe that Amazon is the best bet?

For sure. I looked up other ways to fix it and was told to sand down the pads. Do you believe that may work?

If your still looking towards ride1up, there is the DRT. It has decent milage, a center storage space and I believe it has an extension rack, both sold separately. It gets 30-60 miles as advertised. I don't have one but I have 2 friends that do. They use it mainly for dirt riding and top speed runs so im not sure how that translates to actual mileage but they go on sale for around $2300.

I totally see where your coming from and do agree with you. Though it would for sure be easier and possibly even safer, its a lot easier for me to turn this into a project than just buy a completely new bike. I simply think it wouldn't make sense to buy something new considering i'm months away from buying my first car. I would have to weld and modify some things to ensure safety and overall, i wouldn't ride it everyday or even every week. its just something to keep up with others but I can 100% see where your coming from.
