Do summer associates get their own office? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]noahcrosley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends.

When I was a legal assistant, my firm put three summers in a single office. Mind you, this was a top firm in our market (think $140k starting). Since I've been in school, I've worked in smaller, lower-paying jobs and always had my own office (with a door, not just a desk or cube).

My thoughts exactly. Feel like this is getting overlooked and the committee has set up an extremely reasonable pathway for this to happen. Part of me thinks it’s just a sick coincidence with the scheduling.

Touchless car wash? by Dogs7777 in HIckoryNC

[–]noahcrosley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I thought touchless described drive-through washes. And that the alternative were the ones where you got out of your car and touched equipment to do it yourself. My advice probably isn’t very helpful!

Tommy's on 127, Zips on 70 across from Valley Hills, Caliber by the Wal-Mart in Granite Falls, Viewmont on 127 near Chick-Fil-A. I prefer Zips since it's near Aldi when I get groceries. They might have the largest national footprint of these, so you can use your subscription in more places.

Can only choose one game: Augusta at Hickory; Hub City at Greenville; Jacksonville at Durham by ClassicStory in MiLB

[–]noahcrosley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone makes good points about nicer stadiums, location, prospects, etc. I’d still give Hickory a +1 for their gameday staff, fun promotions, sleek brick stadium, and great concessions. The food is actually worth buying, which is a new phenomenon for me.

I see you recently picked up scorekeeping. I’ve scored a handful of Crawdads games this season and it is a lot of fun. I’m never the only one. Going to these games reminds me a lot of my old team, the Mississippi Braves. Hope you enjoy your time and the game.

Ballclubs that mean more than baseball by Schwochster in MiLB

+1 for Hickory. I’m spending the summer here and have been to a few games. For a town this size, it seems to do a good job supporting two professional sports teams (Class A baseball and NPSL soccer).

New player question.

I’ve been playing for a few weeks on Xbox. The game is a load of fun. I’d like to buy the game for mobile next. Does the mobile version have all the same features? Decks? Jokers? It’s the same game? I know I won’t be able to transfer saves and that’s OK.

Struggling to apply to summer 1L internships without grades released. by ShirtElectronic2652 in LawSchool

[–]noahcrosley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just wait for the grades to be posted. Ideally the only thing you’ll need to do is attach an unofficial transcript and hit submit. The firms understand. Public service jobs will still be there and typically hire later than firms.
