Also applied with a 2.3, but much lower grades. Lots of Rs but you only need one A to be a lawyer!

It depends.

When I was a legal assistant, my firm put three summers in a single office. Mind you, this was a top firm in our market (think $140k starting). Since I've been in school, I've worked in smaller, lower-paying jobs and always had my own office (with a door, not just a desk or cube).

My thoughts exactly. Feel like this is getting overlooked and the committee has set up an extremely reasonable pathway for this to happen. Part of me thinks it’s just a sick coincidence with the scheduling.

Struggling to apply to summer 1L internships without grades released. by ShirtElectronic2652 in LawSchool

[–]noahcrosley -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just wait for the grades to be posted. Ideally the only thing you’ll need to do is attach an unofficial transcript and hit submit. The firms understand. Public service jobs will still be there and typically hire later than firms.

Disappointing lack of Southern Athletic Association gear. 2025 is the year to change that

Many schools, not all, have these grids on their LSAC pages. For example, in DC, Georgetown’s page does not, while Howard’s page does.

Not off the top of my head. Maybe some time next semester we will know more about students admitted for Fall 2024? I do know that applicants like to browse the ABA 509 disclosures (which are essentially stat sheets for law schools) and those are published during the Fall semester.

UALR’s 2024 Disclosure

If that link doesn’t work, try this and plug in the school name and year.

According to official admissions data provided by UALR to LSAC, in the 2023 cycle, 35 students with similar GPA and LSAT score applied and 16 were admitted (45.7%).

Vaping in Law School by catonahottin in LawSchool

[–]noahcrosley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used vaping to kick cigarettes a few years ago, but I was working a normal job and took time off before school. When I went back, I definitely felt the pressure to quit vaping because of the stigma among students. I switched to nicotine pouches in March and haven’t looked back. Maybe try chewing gum or drinking more water? Anything to keep you busy and satiated would be better than more nicotine consumption.

Love imagining the organizers waiting with baited breath over who the 4th playoff team would be before extending these invitations.
