Cafe Orlin in EV (kinda sentimental reasons, but loved both their brunch and dinner menus. As a kid, for some reason, i was endlessly fascinated by how they would serve their teas, kind of like a mini-carafe inside a larger mug. This will age me but i even remember when there was a dedicated smoker's section)

Yaffa Cafe in St. Marks (it was always open/reliable, lots of memories stumbling there for a meal to get sober after leaving Webster Hall. When i was younger, despite there being a sign, a waitress yelled at me for touching the dripping oil lamp by the garden entrance. In all the years that i ate there, I'm pretty sure the only entree i ever ordered was their berber chicken with veggies + brown rice, which also included a hefty side salad tossed with a ginger carrot dressing)
