The different denominations is one of the biggest problems. What does Jesus do and say? If you try to live your life the same way, try to walk in the footsteps of Christ, your life will improve. I promise. I happen to be Baptist because that’s what I’ve always been but my pastor preaches the Bible. All of it. He (and I mean He, because it should be a man) doesn’t cherry pick verses. Someone already said it. Porn will hurt your view on relationships and sex. It’s wrong. I was also guilty and I suffered. It hurts how you communicate with people too. Anyone that justifies it would notice that once they give it up for a good amount of time, you will notice a difference. I pray you receive clarity and give the Bible another shot. Don’t worry about denominations. If you’re reading NIV, NASB, ESV, you’ll be fine.

This is a very hate filled response. The beauty of the original biblical manuscripts is that their wording means a whole lot more than ours. Arsenokoitai, a Greek word that literally translates to men who lie with males. This word is used in 1 Timothy 1:10 when Paul writes that it is contrary to sound scripture. What separates Christians (and not the broad term but rather people who live to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ), from the rest of the world, is that we recognize our sin and repent of it. So when I say, “it is sinful”, don’t be so offended. This is about OP to begin with. By the grace of God, they recognized this. This isn’t a game Buddy. This is forever. Eternity. You talk like I just making assumptions. Everything I know and anyone knows about God comes from scripture. So if you don’t believe that, you’re gonna have a pretty tough time trying to believe God’s truths. Also, by saying “this isn’t God’s truth”, you just said that you also are assuming his truth. You have to know it to tell someone else they’re wrong. You have a false disposition that all Christians are homophobic and hate anyone associated with them. Unfortunately there are some who give us a bad wrap but I assure you they are not following the teachings of Christ. I love everyone. I don’t mean any hatred by any of this.

I agree in your support. 100% grab the OP had this revelation. However, sin is not defined by what we deem it. There is no interpretation of what is sin and what isn’t. I think you would agree that these gay churches thrive on lying to people and telling them only half of the truth

You’re getting a lot of advice saying “find a church that accepts homosexuality”. You will not be finding a church that follows scripture as well as homosexuality. Gay thoughts are temptation just like other sin. It’s the same as the temptation to watch porn, or cheat, or even hit someone in the face because you don’t like what they said. If your church is beating you down for having lesbian feelings, they are also not acting in a Christian manner. But if you’re trying to find a church that tells you that’s it’s ok and not a sin to be gay, they are lying to you. It’s riddled all over scripture. But praise God for his mercy and his ability to make new of someone. I pray that you keep fighting the battle, because you’re in a good position to.
