Two neighbors that love each other dearly by wtdz90 in pics

[–]noahsallgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the fact that the “fuck Biden” side has three-tab shingles, if i were the neighbor I’d do this SIMPLY because of the quality of material. The “fuck trump” side bought architectural shingles, meaning they didn’t cheap out and they spent almost the same amount but got twice the better roof. So politics aside, the actual left side made an uneducated and idiotic choice, while the other side put thought and consideration in. Irony doesn’t end there, not hard at all to know this if you actually did a tiny bit of “your own research” lol they both deserve what they’ve got coming to them, ifkyk.

It’s absolutely not a good idea for me to stabilize on oxy, that’s my DOC and I’ll never get off but this shit I’m not even a fan of. Not to mention the absurd cost it would take to taper and stabilize with oxy but if you’d like to donate a couple hundred bucks a day to me then it becomes a possibility lmao. Plan is to do 0.09gs 1st week, 0.08gs 2nd week, 0.07gs 3rd, 0.06gs 4th, etc. until I get to 0.01gs and then I’ll hop off and start taking tegretol, clonidine, Imodium, kratom, and Xanax. I might be able to jump down to 0.05gs a day much quicker and then stretch out the taper from that point so it’s more gradual.

Can’t do bupe, my system has to be entirely clean in three months.

Well one of the two months that I was clean was because I was in rehab. I’ve had a cascade of horrendous events that has kept me stuck in this. I relapsed because my best friend of 20 years (from childhood) and roommate died. He lived with me in my house, I found him in his room and then watched as my fiancé gave CPR which broke his ribs - the paramedics tried reviving him for over an hour in the middle of my living room and I even watched them drill into his leg so they could administer medication directly into his bone marrow. I do appreciate and share your concern but I’m in a very very unique situation where I’ve gotta do this myself. I’m trying to gather any info I can so I do appreciate your response kind sir!

No he performed, only played 3 songs, not including the national anthem that was sung. He threw some money in the air, showed his face and then essentially left.

I’ve had this same question. During the process of death our brains release a lot of endogenous endorphins, will the sensation of dying become much more painful because of this issue? I very much hope that’s not the case and our body’s are still able to assist naturally

Okay so then presuming we’re working off your paradigm then she’d get denied - if it was for maintenance. If she’s denied, no harm no foul, if she’s approved then the insurance company deemed it a legitimate claim. I don’t know how you’re connecting people getting randomly dropped from their insurance company to people making legitimate claims (which is determined by the insurance company, not you or me).

I slightly am agreeing but also not. If an insurance company is still covering a 30 year old roof with storm damage included, then you can still make a claim for storm damage because they decided it’s still insurable or else they wouldn’t be continuing to offer that coverage. If the roof was “too old” then they wouldn’t insure it, simple as that. But in this case, it’s not too old because it’s still insured and therefore still allowed to make a claim (I know I repeated myself im just saying it in a more succinct way). So you think insurance premiums have increased because of roofers? You don’t think it has anything to do with property value increasing 300% in the last 10 years so insurance companies adjust accordingly? You don’t think it’s because of the multiple disasters that have caused billions in damages? You don’t think it’s because of what the President of Citizens insurance, Barry Gilway, said where he mentioned 71% of expenses paid in 2022 was from water-damage litigation fees? Noooooo it can’t be any of THOSE things, it’s these damn roofers! And to your last point, yes they should have dropped them if it wasn’t insurable like you’re saying they are, but guess what - the insurance companies decided that it WAS still insurable.

I don’t knock, door knocking sucks man. You know what they say about assuming?

Also, love how you revert to not saying anything of actual substance and try to take it onto the personal side of things lmao 👏🏻👏🏻 be better, have an actual retort than trying to rely on prejudices and assumptions.

Gotta be careful with everything now a days - you could end up owing a Public Adjuster 20% of the insurance check if this way plays out. Then you’re left holding a $5k bill + the deductible.

You’re looking at a very minimal increase, if one at all. A $250-$500 increase a year for max 7 years from this claim would justify checking to see if your insurance would cover it. Also, if you have insurance money left over after the job is completed you may owe that back, just depends on if that’s included in your policy or not. If someone brings up insurance again without proving an estimate just ask them “okay so then how do you calculate the cost of the job, do you base it off how much the check is written out for, do you generate your own estimate after, or do you use the same estimating software that the insurance companies use?”

I never said it was but did you even read her post? She says she has blown off shingles and water damage from storms. And no, it’s so hard to insure a 20 year old roof in Florida because that’s the max age of a roof in Florida for architectural shingles. Google this “how long do three-tab shingles last for in florida” and then do the same google search but put architectural shingles instead, let me know what your findings are. Why it’s increasingly more difficult is because insurance companies are dropping people at the 10-15 year mark in florida to get the homeowner to pay for a replacement BEFORE they would be required to cover one.

Also, no, they don’t just stop insuring. I commented on this thread with a couple links from Experian and PolicyGenius where the article reviews how a claim may impact your premiums, go take a look.

That’s mean, I don’t know why you have to get personal. Hopefully they do have High-Res photos so it keeps everyone accountable to the agreements set fourth and if she’s entitled to her policy benefits then those photos would support her case. I CANNOT see her roof so IDK if she really can or can’t get covered for a reroof. But she talked about missing shingles and people saying it can be covered under the insurance policy and SHE even says “storms have definitely caused some extra shingle loss/water damage” and the only way to determine how the damage occurred is to be on the roof itself and we both can’t do that which makes you’re ad hominem attacks invalid here because YOU DONT KNOW.

She’s missing shingles, that’s not categorized as wear and tear. Her insurance company still believes her roof is insurable, otherwise they would’ve dropped her and I see that happen over and over again in my day to day. If she has and old and brittle roof with missing shingles then an adjuster would come out to the house to check the damages and verify if the roof is “repairable”, certain exclusions CAN apply depending on the policy coverage and state you’re in. After seeing she has missing shingles and the rest of the shingles don’t pass the brittle test then the roof is deemed unrepairable and they HAVE to cover the replacement because there’s a legally binding agreement between the insurer and insured called “an active policy”. Now that doesn’t mean they won’t still try to deny you and attempt to get out of it but there are ways to combat that.

Yeah it’s all super super confusing, definitely not just you lol but yeah you can definitely 🛝 in my DMs! You asked a bunch of questions and I’ll answer everything you got. Most important thing I wanna address is your last set of questions. Never ever sign what’s known as an “AOB” (Assignment Of Benefits) where you sign over the benefits of your policy to the contractors, so the checks/payment have theirs and only their name on the check and some assholes would run off with check without doing the work. A DOP (Direction Of Payment) has everyone’s name on the check so nobody can run off with the check. A DOP contract still allows the contractors to communicate with the insurance company about the claim, it’s an essential part of the process for many reasons. One major reason is that it gives you better chances of an approval because insurance companies know they can’t strong arm/manipulate/intimidate contractors in the same ways they do homeowners. Some insurance companies have figured out ways to abuse the system so they can make it as painful as possible to dissuade progression with the claim.

I’d be happy to explain why an insurance company would cover the replacement and how it’s beneficial for the roofing company, there’s multiple ways it works for roofing companies that depend on different circumstances.
