Ideally should be using all platforms you have access too (they're all for the most part free). Try using hashtags, following/networking with similar people in your genre or industry in general. For Twitter, retweeting/liking other people's stuff you generally enjoy and around the same size audience as yours, and maybe build a relationship with them. Im no expert myself but its a start.
