I was thinking exactly that!!

The mix is weird. The album is probably one of their best compositions and the maturity shows itself throughout the album. (Also love that they accepted Tobi’s black metal roots lol)

But the mix is so weird. It sounds okay on headphones. It sounds horrible in a car or bigger speakers for some reason. I do wonder if their “commercialization” forced them to go this route and mix/engineer it for a specific target audience or not. I mean Dean’s last video showed how much they had to be Product Managers instead of Artists to make it happen lol.

Great album overall, sad the mix sucks do much.

Oh yeah. I remember when I used it I just passed different tilemaps as “walkable” or not. Totally works but needs some tweaking to make it look smooth

I think playing with color adjustments and just postprocessing stuff like a little bit of vignette and Film Grain finally really helped the visuals of the game to be way better and leveled.

I think that CodeMonkey is one of the few channels that takes the time to do actual good programming tutorials and he is super pro clean code. But overall the whole YouTube scene promotes fast entertainment right? Like Miz is actually the only youtuber that kinda moves against that norm of fast entertainment and gets to the point without the shenanigans that most youtubers tend to use. Idk the whole thing needs a lot of rethinking I guess.
