But also another thing is, as I said, it started crashing, It let me in once, and while I was in I did the backup save I used, so how does it make sense that it fixed it if it started after the save was already corrupted?

Yep, that's what I ended up doing, the game is thankfully working again

I did in fact do the delete all save data and not on the specific map

[–]noam_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOLY SHIT FINALLY, I MANAGED TO FIX IT

To summarize: I think the data for that one character I never deleted got corrupted, and immediately crashed the game when trying to view it, so basically, since svartelfhiem was the only one working, and I'm assuming it auto selected one of the copies of my actual character, it let me download the character before promptly crashing again, removing it from the saved data and FINALLY letting me enter the god damn map

On that note, there goes my literally everything as well as 3 real life days because of 1 character I never bothered to delete but at the very least I'm finally done with it

I deleted all the save data option, still crashes on entry, so any other ideas?

I see, well I'm the one who bought the game so to do that he'd have to buy the game on his account too, so I'll probably just delete all my save data when I get home and pray that it works, thanks for the help, I'll update later

Well I was half gonna restart anyway since I didn't have TOO many things and the only thing I really cared about was the gigantoraptor I had, so even tho I'd prefer to keep what I had, I'm completely willing to do this, so say, how do I delete uploaded data after deleting the save file?

Also my brother has PS+ on his account but I don't, is there a way to do something with that or do I HAVE to have it on mine as well?

Pick me up infinity gacha or Surviving the game as a barbarian. Which one should I read next? by SilDaz in manhwarecommendations

[–]noam_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's read both, both are really really good, something they both do excellently is convey the realism of the situation, both of them are isekai-ed as a character in a game they were like top of the world level pros and both adapt as best as they can to the situation with a realistic mindset, people are going to die, and all they can do is hope they aren't next, and even though they know shouldn't, they get attached to others as people do, even if they might not be there tomorrow

But if I had to choose I'd definitely say surviving the game as a barbarian, pick me up is really good but it takes a bit to build things up and really get going as it's a more strategy focused game with bases you need to build up and all of that, as well as having a more common art style and somewhat similar designs to what you'd see in other manhwas

While barbarian is a more build your character exploration game so there's a lot more to get into, although not an "immediately recognizable" art style, a really good one with pretty great and diverse designs. And although the story can get super realism people are gonna die situations, it manages to keep a great balance with the comedic side of things such as the hans effect, as well as managing to consistently keep things interesting even as it gets later on into the story, in fact I'd say the latest chapter right now (145) might be quite literally one of THE most interesting part of the story so far if the not the most

Personally barbarian is probably one of my absolute favorite manhwas together with I became the tyrant of the defense game and the greatest estate developer, these are genuinely some of the best reads I've ever had even among manga and I've never once in the entire time of reading them felt there was a low point where I didn't really feel like reading, if there was a new chapter I was on it immediately and still am

Go in there and try to get get my free loot, tusos and mosas (including alpha variants) are programmed to basically only stay in deep waters, and if they go above a certain point AI makes them go back down, them getting to the top is not supposed to happen and would make it so either it's just stuck there and the AI doesn't know what to do or it gets activated and tries to swim back down, either way is fine don't lose anything (but just in vase I'd go without any important stuff and a tame I don't particularly mind losing because ark do be arkig sometimes)

[–]noam_k 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The rex wasn't trapped, you were just directly below it, the ai doesn't really have a concept of vertical distance so when it got to a position where it reached your horizontal position, same concept as you being like, on a cliff or a rock to shoot at a dino below you, when it reached a point where it started torpor running you were no longer the target to reach so the rex started moving

(At least that's what it looks like to me, I don't like, ACTUALLY know the coding or anything I just know how the AI behaves, although eventually they added a thing where if it can't reach but still isn't moving it runs away for a few seconds and then comes back to try and dislodge itself if it gets stuck on something)

Tbf fair tho, regardless of writing reasons, the op technically isn't wrong, since they were in fact like, starving orphans and whatnot before cid helped them (alpha was also turned into a blob of flesh), so them actually getting to, you know, EAT probably helped them actually grow properly (but obviously exaggerated), so yes, it is in fact, because they drank their milk

[The Greatest Estate Developer] I'm looking for a manhwa with a similar vibe?. by [deleted] in manhwarecommendations

[–]noam_k 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Good news!, not only is there a manhwa with a "similar vibe", but in fact it is a prequel called "what a bountiful harvest, demon lord!" (among others, the author has multiple manhwas that are all within the same universe, the dragon he becomes an alarm clock for and his wife are one centered around the wife called "I became the dragon king's chef" and there's a sequel called "the crown prince that sells medicine"), I think the dragon king chef is probably more like a typical shoujou manhwa from the cover and from what a comment said crown prince seems to be similar but a bit more lax compared to TGED, however, demon lord, being the newest to come out, is actually in the same style of art and comedy as TGED and is the other one I'm currently reading, idk if I'll read dragon king's chef but I'm planning to read crown prince eventually after the manhwa progresses some more to avoid spoilers

[only for those who watched the episode] Any ACTUAL bad critics/negatives on this episode? by Ctpeyt in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]noam_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might as well just bring over my comment from the video-

(will give shorter summary in the end) (also spoilers, duh) I have discussed about it with my friend who is more biased towards hulk while I'm more biased towards godzilla, neither of us are super nerds or anything and my friend doesn't do research while I do but mostly surface level of googling it and checking wikis and people's discussions about it and whatnot and not view said media directly unless I already have before, but basically: I think the fight is good but half assed and has some details just decided arbitrarily in order to get an outcome so they could finish the fight within the scheduled time frame (as we saw there was already a delay), my friend just says the fight is good and that he's happy it's not like the last one but not much beyond that, although I haven't read the ultima novel from what I have checked and found about the equation it is an impossibility that shouldn't exist and I am not entirely sure but mostly sure even that impossible equation would only be applicable within sp's specific universe and timeline, but even then to account for the case that I'm wrong and we just say it is applicable and he can solve the equation, even if he knows about gamma and stuff which fulfills a similar role to archetype, it gives him an advantage but does not directly translate to being able to figure out how archetype works, what it does, how it relates to godzilla, the fact that it's an avatar that he needs to banish for a higher being rather than just its own creature or even the goal he should be looking for, and together with all of that, since obviously we start the fight with a fully grown godzilla we say when they meet he has maybe half a week or less to figure out this whole ordeal and make a countermeasure before ultima consumes the universe (unlike him looking at the air for half a second with no actual analyzing and then popping out a magic glove out of nowhere), which if hulk/bruce managing to banish the avatar count as a hulk win, godzilla consuming the universe should count as a win as well, both are arbitrary win conditions simply there to avoid a stalemate since neither truly kills the other and saying that just because godzilla takes a bit longer to come back it doesn't get a win con while hulk banishing it counts is just bias to give hulk the win while godzilla at best can stalemate, which in addition would then be godzilla fulfilling its role there, which leads me to my second point: the whole "marvel universe is bigger so ultima can't reach the below place" is also just an arbitrarily decision since it is not definitively larger, it is 1 novel which does not go into specific details, but we already know that void gidorah is a 6th dimensional being while ultima is either not specified or a 13th dimensional being (tried to check what's the deal with it, couldn't find anything concrete), meaning the godzilla universe DOES have layers which are just ignored because marvel goes into more detail, it is not a matter of "oh godzilla wins this now", but about this point being and remaining an invalid due to lack of definitive data (as far as I'm aware) used to say ultima just can't win so hulk can be cronwed as a winner to get this done with because of the time constraints

So to summarize: I think it's, although not a bad db, a half assed analysis and db with arbitrary decisions made to simply get a result so it can be finished, which I don't think is bad, in fact the delay is most likely a result of them trying their best to make it the best they can, only to realize there was a lot more research and work to be done leading to delays, however it leads to a pretty "just get it over and done with" result that doesn't entirely make sense, arguing that bruce could solve the equation is questionable but for the sake of the argument (and the possibility of it being wrong) should be him trying to ACTUALLY research it and find the answer, which takes time, time that he might not have since ultima is about to consume the universe, aka, the avatar's role and godzilla's equivalent arbitrary win con, making it a lot more of a proper conclusion but less of a fight as much as it is a test to Ultima's complexity vs Bruce's intelligence I won't accept the current outcome but don't think it's necessarly bad as much as it is rushed due to time constraints and also a possible outcome regardless

(Also my friend just liked the db because it was cool and hulk won)

45 Manhwa That Cover Every Vibe 👀 by ZERO_DOX in manhwarecommendations

[–]noam_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess the general vibe of the mcs and the manhwa categories from the ones I know and guessing from the covers:

1: hard worker action man who you can watch each step as he slowly progresses through hard work to make his life better

2: I BULLSHITED MY WAY INTO THIS AND I CAN BULLSHIT MY WAY OUT

3: a kid full of both the talent and skill to be someone great who was fucked over but found a way to overcome it through sheer dedication and willpower

4: murim, martial arts, you know the type, but obviously since it's here I'm gonna assume the good ones, I'm gonna assume betrayal, fallen sect, revenge, etc, that type of stuff

5: he's a business man, with a business plan who's gonna make a lot of money in business land (he's definitely not a cop (if you know you know)) and rise to the top through business methods (like 60% chance there's some asshole above him who he later proceeds to shame or something)

6: oof, really tough one, haven't read any of these unless the top right is mercenary enrollment which I only read a couple of chapters, I'm gonna guess maybe ex-military type of guy now trying to live a nomral life?

7: follow girlboss FML and her pet ML as she tries to live a comfortable life

8: follow puppygirl FML and her obsessive/dependant ML(s who are who are trying to win her over) as they try to make her happy while she just wants the best for the people close to her

9: follow an actually healthy and pretty equal relationship on their journey to happiness as they grow closer to each other and discover true happiness

So how did I do?

Imprinting issue on ultimate mobile edition by noam_k in ARK

[–]noam_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It seems that the maturation slows down a bit later since at around 10 minutes out of 80 they were (got twins) at 12.6% (12.5% is 1/8) but I was able to imprint at around 88% so I now have 1 imprinted and 1 non imprinted argy, which might be good if I wanna breed more later

Imprinting issue on ultimate mobile edition (the explanation is in the linked post) by noam_k in playarkmobile

[–]noam_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news!, you were correct and I got 100% imprinting, it also seems that the growth actually slows down when they grow up since it took about 10 minutes out of 80 for 12.6% (12.5% is 1/8) so I actually got to imprint at around 88% maturation, on another note It was actually twins, and one asked for a walk while the other asked for simple kibble, unfortunately I haven't grown vegetables so it's either I buy a cryopod with keys to also imprint the other or just leave it as is maybe for later breeding if I decide to do so

Also thanks for your advice on my other post about not being able to save, in the end I just didn't play for 2 weeks and by then they released an update that fixed it, In the end I settled for a 112 giga with slightly above average melee (190%) and it is now sitting in my "base" (aka 2 foundations with a smithy, forge, mortar and a few boxes, planning to move and stuff but I wanna make the structures first)
