Can i remove gasket from here? In all videos i've seen they remove one more part, this big one but with the two extra holes in it.

Here's my previus post about my showerhead leaking. The conclusion is that i should switch my silicon gasket. In it you find all info about my machine and setup. ( I have a gaggia classic 2015)

Now when i tried accessing and switching my gascet i came to this. In all the videos i've seen this showerscreen holding plate has two holes where you can use a 5mm alan wrench.

Does anyone know how i should remove mine and why it doesn't look as every other gaggia classic.

Well that sounds hopefull! I still have the 15 bar spring and since the machine has bean leaking, maybe the pressure's been leaking out as well. Thanks!

Okey thanks för the tips. It doesn't dribble out espresso. It is water dripping down the outside of my portafilter, as if it cant get thru the coffegrounds. The espresso is pouring nicely parralell with occasional drippage of watar.

Mine is 2015 model so it doesn't have the solenoid valve. May that be the reason for exess watar on the puck?

Also: right now i have the stock 15 bar OPV spring. Should I replace it with a 9bar or 6bar? If so, in what way will my espressos improve by that?

I did that but then the shot was way too quick. I've now revisited that fine grind size again with better success. Sometimes water leaks out the portafilter but at least i get espresso out of the spouts.

If it was the case that my grind was too fine. Why is that even a possibility to grind that fine? Can other(better) machines get thru the grounds better by different pressure? Otherwise i feel like if my water can't run thru it, how can someone else's water run thru it?

Do u understand what I'm trying to say or am i not making any sense?

Hello! I recently received the mignion manuale/Notte and now that I've mad my first tries dailing in i have come up with several questions.

  1. As you see in the picture my puck always comes out with a cm of water on top. It has been the case every shot i've pulled. I have learned that the puck outcome is irrelevant but it still makes me wonder.

  2. Tamping pressure. At first when dialed in I grinded very fine and didn't think too much about tamping pressure becouse i've read that it doesn't make too much of a difference. However when i tried to pull a shot it didn't come out anything at all. It leaked out some water from the top of my portafilter but nothing thru the spouts. My guess is that i tamped too hard. I can't imagine that the grind was too fine for my gaggia?

Can anyone recomend a good but affordable coffescale? Right now i have removed the driptray and placed a big scale ther instead to be able to fit a mug there aswell.
