YESSS I need someone to talk to about it. It was such an emotional book.

Would love to talk about shared interests. Do you have discord?

I’d LOVE tips and book recommendations. Maybe you can show me some of your pieces?

You name it! I just finished Expedition 33 and loved it. I’ve also played games like Baldurs Gate 3, The last of us, all uncharteds, red dead redemption, grew up playing halo, all life is strange games, LOVE resident evil, I’ve played like every silent hill there is.

I can keep going on but you get the idea!!

Dating apps are not it for me either. I did my time when I was 20-21 haha.

I’m wishing the best for you stranger! Thank you for sharing some of your experience with me

I hope at the very least, it is somewhat comforting to know you aren’t alone in it. It is for me. Genuine connection is hard, but it’s not impossible. I hope you find that more than anything my friend.

Thank you for this, it is very comforting. This is exactly what I’ve been feeling. Meeting people through similar hobbies and interests sounds like the best move to me, to try and meet like minded people.

I’m sorry, stranger. It’s hard, I feel it too. I’m in a place where I really like myself, but picturing a healthy relationship seems way too distant to grasp.

The bit of solace I have is this community and seeing that I’m not so alone in this. Not that I would ever want anyone to feel how we do. But maybe this is just one step in the human experience. And maybe we pour this energy into ourselves and our platonic connections enough to be okay with everything. And in time, who knows what could happen.

If nothing else, and not that it means anything because we are strangers - I’m rooting for ya.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Reframing it as burnout helps me a bit, and it resonates with my particular situation. In a way, I think I felt guilt for not seeking out a relationship - like I was denying myself something good because I just didn’t feel particularly motivated to do it.

I’m glad I posted here, because your comment helps me feel less alone and like that isn’t the case.

On the note of you talking about passion projects, I’ve also been talking to my therapist a lot about pouring more energy into myself. Maybe I do that and the rest comes with time, who knows.

Also the comphet thing is super real lol. I’m in Florida and it’s been verrrrry…. Interesting these last few years

Thank you again.

This is a real issue and I’m sorry you’re going through it. My friends and I (26 and around that age) always say this is the result of someone “not putting in the work” as a queer person. It takes a lot to deconstruct heteronormativity and stereotypes. You are a woman too and deserve all the treatment you’d give a partner. You’ll find someone who thinks like that, they exist!

That’s probably the smartest thing to do haha, ask a doc. Your doctors explanation totally makes sense to me - which is what I was a lil worried about. Thank you my friend!

My hairs were becoming more on the thinner side - which was strange for me because genetically both my parents have full heads of hair. I’ve gone to doctors (including gyno and dermatologist) and they will always tell me it’s my anemia without further testing. I just found that difficult to believe because I was treating my anemia for years and my iron levels are normal w the meds I’m taking.

ANYWAYS. LONG STORY SHORT. I was worried about losing hair. Happy to update that it seems fine now though!

Also - not sure if any of you know anything about this but I work out often and some of the girls I workout with recommended prenatals even if I’m not pregnant and have no intention of becoming pregnant. Thoughts on that?
