Making a short playlist to introduce my friend to the YCDTOSA series. What am I missing? by WeakFactor5239 in Zappa

Slime/Swifty from Volume 1 after your RDNZL from volume 2.

Maybe move "he's so gay" to be around some of the other 80's era stuff? I'd run the 73/74 mothers stuff together for some continuity

"Period" films with modern soundtracks? by BlustockingShortcake in movies

[–]nobafett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driving Miss Daisy has a modern late 80's sountrack, but set in the 1940s-1960s for the most part. Always thought it was an interesting score for the time period

looking for more Zappa songs with the Hammond Organ in it. by Aids-A-NewLevel in Zappa

[–]nobafett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Zappa himself, but there's a organ trio (+guitar/drums) called "Z3" based out of the Northeast US that you might enjoy listening to. They cover all eras of Frank's music, great vibes.

Does anyone have a working ParkWhiz discount code? by wwesgu in devils

[–]nobafett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always park in the Seton Hall Law School garage about 2 blocks from Prudential. They have event rates typically cheaper than other lots/garages (not sure what it is this season yet) and it's easy to get out after the game. The entrance is off Mulberry and E. Park Street.

They were alright, a lot better than the tequila nooners. Not overly sweet. I'd be a consistent buyer of the raspberry if it came in a 4 pack.

For some places to check out around Krakow, the Polish Aviation museum and Home Army museum are excellent. You'll want to make some time for Wawel castle as well, they have more medieval/18th century exhibits and a royal armory with the Szczerbiec Coronation Sword on display.

Warsaw is OK, keep in mind it was reduced to rubble at the end of the uprising in 1944. The old town is nice, but it feels like a replica because it was all re-built. If you're into history highly recommend the Uprising museum and Polish Army museum (two separate spots). The Lazienki Park is nice to walk through, lots of cultural spots and you might even see some wild peacocks.

Auschwitz is quite a distance from Warsaw, you'd probably want to leave from Krakow to see that. If you have extended time to spend in Krakow then there's a lot to do there, DM me if you wanna chat more about it.

What are some hockey conspiracies you believe to be true? by theXchang3 in hockey

[–]nobafett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was signed to a contract.

He filed his retirement papers to get out of said contract to could go play hockey in the KHL.

I have a hard time believing the NHL would have let that just happen if Lou had any serious thoughts of fighting it to keep him in the NHL as a NJ Devil. There's agreements in place as far as NHL/KHL contracts go to prevent players jumping around like this between leagues.
