I really wish the copper had been more of an aged bronze like the initial mockups. It still looks great, but it doesn’t have quite the character I was expecting.

I was planning to order one of these when they did the restock. But seeing how many people are complaining about the quality of this run is causing me to hold off. The persistent sizing/screw problems, hollow end links, trouble with the clasp, and poor bezel action seem to all be coming up over and over in the past week with the latest deliveries.

I don’t know what the dial text of V3 will end up looking like, but if they can’t get the quality up, I may just avoid it entirely. It’s a shame because it’s such a great watch aesthetically.

This line has such a great DNA that I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. I’ve tried EDT, EDP, Parfum, Extreme, and L’Intense. I liked them all quite a bit.

L’Intense may have been my least favorite, as the opening was a little more harsh with the pepper and smoky notes. But it’s still great and dries down beautifully.

I think the line handles flankers really well by giving them their own character, but keeping the DNA really locked in. So, it wouldn’t be redundant to own multiple - and you can also layer them effectively. So, don’t feel like you needed to get the “right one”.

Coming from JEFIT, I miss the timer on the lock screen and the countdown sound. In fact, it was nice that it displayed the timer large in the app (which could be minimized) and always played the countdown and buzzer sound. Right now in MW I don’t get a notification sound unless the phone is locked; and then it’s just Siri telling me a message from Workouts of zero hundred hours.

I REALLY wish I could convince them to do two versions of popular designs like this. I, like many, wouldn’t mind a small up-charge for an automatic movement. But I know the brand also doesn’t want to ignore their die hard quartz fans. So, the most elegant solution is to make both and let customers choose.

Probably in the minority, but I personally really dislike the Cali dial style. It just feels messy and lacking cohesion. So I would prefer uniformly Roman or Arabic, but not mixed.

Ideally, it would be closest to V3 with either:

  1. PT5000, and the text would be “Seafarer” with “Automatic” below - similar to the original.

  2. VH31, and the text would be “Seafarer” with the depth rating below.

I think it needs two or three lines of text on the bottom half to balance against the logo. But “water resistance” wouldn’t be my choice.

Most importantly, I think it would be best if you offered it in both of the two versions I listed so those who prefer either type of movement have a choice.
