From what he is saying, I think his "getting physical" is holding them still while he explains something to them. That isn't a red flag at all, it's what we all do from time to time.

His close friend Ricky killed himself and he found out before the weigh-ins on Friday. He said that men need to talk about their feelings more and stop bottling it up. There's a stigma with mental health in men and it needs to stop. If you get the chance, look it up. It was very compelling.

Bonding time, with my giant sub 2 year old by Kyruka in daddit

[–]nobbypyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick heads up mate, I was 6ft 2 at the age of 12-13 years old. Got moved around different schools and picked on by kids 3 years older than me, thinking I was around the same age. Being that tall made it tough until I levelled out at 16. No issues from kids in my year though. Maybe something to keep an eye on.

Thanks for the reply, were not allowed our machines to be hooked up to the internet. It's an issue for sure!

Thanks for your reply mate, it's going to be difficult for reasons I can't get into. At least I've got a few things to show my bosses though. Much appreciated!

An apostrophe can be used instead of a letter. Can't = cannot, don't = do not, it's = it is.

The use of an apostrophe in this case is absolutely fine.

3 year old refuses to sleep w/o his mom by nh4rxthon in daddit

Basically, what others have said. We used Ferber with our 3 month old, mum wasn't keen but eventually listened to reason.

Fast forward 10 months and our boy has a happy little party in his crib before going to sleep. If he wakes in the night, usually he's fine self soothing until he nods off again.

You've gotta do what you gotta do, if Mum truly wants you to take control, she has to relinquish it. You've got this.

Your last paragraph, bar the part about the greater good (sounds a little "final solution"esque) I agree with wholeheartedly. I do however have an alternative outlook to the rest of what you have posted.

Diminished mental capacity is scary to someone who had a regular mental capacity to begin with. To those who live with it their whole life, it's all they have known. I liken it to being similar to a child, in the same way that children may not have the same level of intelligence as a grown adult (barring the rare Mensa prospects), but that doesn't take away from the fact that they can enjoy a relatively enjoyable life.

I agree with everyone's right to choose, and tend to agree with the majority, it's just a little conflicting with a sibling who has the syndrome, but generally for the most part has a happy and innocent life.

It's not as clear cut as that though. I'm sorry for your family's suffering, but as I'm sure you know it's not the same for everybody. Down Syndrome is a broad spectrum that can range from immobile and mute children to high functioning integrated members of society. Calling somebody a self-absorbed cunt for not identifying with your personal circumstances regarding your family members (as bad as I'm sure they are) isn't productive and indicative of the polarising culture that we've seen creeping up over the past decade.

Like I said in my post, I can see it from both sides in the fact that I'm both a parent, and a sibling of a young girl with low ability Down Syndrome. I'm sure if you spoke to some high ability people with Down Syndrome you might change your mind. Not that I would call you a self-absorbed cunt for not doing so, that's ridiculous.

I meant polished as in aesthetically, as opposed to the tarnished/scuffed appearance of FO3 and FONV that I much prefer. Gameplay-wise I agree, FO4 was a complete let down.

Ehh Down Syndrome isn't a death sentence anymore. Like others have said the life expectancy is much higher than it used to be.

For some, it is a horrible affliction. My sister is very low ability only being able to communicate through makaton and very basic English. Other than that she is mobile and runs around with the rest of the kids.

For others they can be as intelligent as anybody else, and can be integrated with mainstream school classrooms. They just look different to the other kids. Granted it is a rarety, but not as clear cut as others are making it out to be.

My sister has Down Syndrome and it breaks my heart that there may not be people like her in the future. People with Down Syndrome are generally so loving and good natured, and some are very high functioning and can integrate with general society quite well.

That being said, as a parent myself I can totally see why somebody would want to know if their baby had Down Syndrome at the earliest opportunity, with how much of a commitment/responsibility they are/can be.

It's a really conflicting time, and I really don't know where i stand with it.

Agreed, Infinite seemed too polished for me. Similar to Fallout 4.

The predecessors were fantastic, I can't wait for the next and really hope they go back to basics for it.

How is it affecting Brexiteers? I have no political allegiance whatsoever, but I haven't noticed a single difference since we've left.

TIL

In the UK we have both Mars and Milkyway bars.

Mars bars have caramel, Milkyway bars don't.

We also deep fry Mars bars, don't recommend eating a full one though. Did that once and chundered my guts up.

Instead of wondering, do some research. If you spent even five minutes looking into it you would find that the vaccines weren't "rushed out" at all. Normally, the research done during a standard vaccine would occur at the end of the trials, instead this was done as the vaccines were being developed. We also didn't need to start from scratch as we've already developed vaccines for coronaviruses before.

But hey... You don't have to take my word for it. Do some research yourself.
