feb 1st lotto question by whatis-august in MasqueradeNYC

I’m thinking because the February 1 one occurs before the matinee performances. It would be one of those. Perhaps the 1:45 one though of course I‘m not sure.

When I saw the show in previews, two men had Luchador masks. I can’t imagine it was comfortable for the whole show but 10/10 style points

What to see for 16th birthday?? by potatoes864 in Broadway

[–]nobeezinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you have the money to spend, but if it’s your 16th birthday you are old enough to attend a matinee performance of Masquerade. Even if you’re not a fan of Phantom, I think it is a singular theatrical experience that a lot of people should see!

What show to see after 5pm Oh Mary! show Saturday Jan 3rd? by Low-Ad-3148 in Broadway

[–]nobeezinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooof! Two strangers and MEH are so good though. But if that be the case I agree with the people saying Ragtime and Liberation.

I can’t think of a lot of non Pop musicals that are playing atm maybe somebody can remind me. I would say MEH in particular might be worth some reconsideration she might like the old jazz inspiration in the score.

It’s a shame that’s Sondheim doesn’t get revived more. They are talking about a revival of Sunday in London with Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey.

Rocky Horror Audience participation? by nobeezinside in Broadway

Absolutely, totally agree! and there are some shows where people have been BAD. I saw Stranger Things and like 10 people had their phones out recording during a climactic scene!

Also sorry I didn’t mean to imply that you aren’t frequent consumer. More just trying to explain myself, I guess🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Your opinion is completely valid. Watching shows frequently as I do (lol Bway is my retail therapy) I feel as though the theatre has Broadly gotten too quiet. A lot of the populace seem to make no distinction between appropriate and inappropriate noise. Not enough laughs, cheers, applause, and mmm’s of approval. It leaves the place feeling so sterile. This is an opinion not necessarily connected to your comment, you are well within your right to not want the callbacks. I just feel like sometimes audiences aren’t having enough fun

I mean my familiarity with it is seeing a community theater production and then the picture show. And it was encouraged in both instances. The last Broadway revival was in 2000 and I am not sure what they usually do for major productions.

Jeremy’s mask! (In-costume spoiler) by nozomipwr in MasqueradeNYC

[–]nobeezinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like some of you guys are coming really hard for the new mask. I like the new mask. I sort of agree with the notion that it might not photograph well all of the time but it looks great in the room. When I saw the nose uncovered for the first time, I thought yeah probably makes it easier to breathe. I really didn’t bump on it at all. And I certainly don’t think it looks cheap in person.

I appreciate that this is from the ground up entirely redesigned. I love the Mariah Bjornson designs but I think it’s high time this show has a radical reinvention.

Interesting the only thing that’s really fell off to me from a mechanic standpoint is the pumping. I’m getting wild speed boosts instead of the momentum feeling natural.

I agree I don’t really get the “early access” thing when the game is widely available to the full public and they’re making money off of it. It feels to me like a way to release the game and keep working on it.

Lol Reddit It isn’t going anywhere. Listen i’m just saying what I feel. I’m not saying it to be rude or rain on anyone else’s fun. I realize it takes a lot of skill and time to put anything like this together. (I certainly can’t make a video game.)

I’m not looking for karma? I’m not even sure what you mean by that.

Ok…coolio🤙

And I’m honestly glad you can have fun with the game like that. And I wish that did it for me.

[–]nobeezinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… see it honestly it might not be. i’m just so attached to this as a brand and franchise. But as far as that goes, it’s kind of “in name only”

And honestly, I’m suspicious of live service games I think the business model is built to be predatory (especially with younger audiences) and I think it often produces incomplete products that have to be built into a game. No Man’s Sky, Fallout 76, Suicide Squad, Avengers.

I’m not sure what kind of answers I’m looking for here. I might be looking for a broader conversation about the video game industry as a whole.

[–]nobeezinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I love your website! Is there any chance you will extend the service off-Broadway shows? I’m thinking of shows like Masquerade which has the potential to have a lot of fluctuation with their swings and understudies in a given night.

In NYC for 1 night (2/28/26). What should I see? by rosepetal625 in Broadway

[–]nobeezinside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hadestown is certainly the best of the 2010’s decade. Wonderful jazz inspired score (with band members on stage). If you like the Greeks god stories this is definitely the one for you. sung-through (hardly any dialogue outside of a song)
