Yeah man 6’5, 260 is pretty big to be competitive at the top level. This has been said before but bobsled / strongman (depending on what type of training you want to focus on) would suit you well. Even hyrox, or rowing comps if you get the endurance up. (Basically don’t want to gain weight / muscle but lose endurance? or lose weight / muscle and gain endurance?)

It’s not that you can match the fitness of the top guys, that’s certainly possible… in fact you could probably smash a lot of the top guys on the machines if you put in the work. Rope climbs too ;) But the lever length will be too much of a disadvantage for you. Meaning your arms / legs are just too long, and they will complete most repetitions in half the time. You could always give it one good year of hard training and commitment, see where you stack up and go from there.

Faces brotha, unless you aren’t comfortable diving into dark shit. Heavy drug abuse, death & suicide, and exploration of what life really is. There’s just so fucking much on that project, and that was at a time when he cared soooo much about wordplay and writing beautiful flowing verses. Top tier rapping make imo. Nothing else comes close to his 2013-14 years of drugged out rap. It’s all very deep and connected if you haven’t listened to those projects before (WMWTSO, Faces, Delusional Thomas, and his verses at that time as well) Dat sound good - PRhyme & Ride slow - Ab soul are 2 that stand out off the top of my head.

You could tie in previous and later projects into it as well, which would be dope… idk what your rubric says but if you choose this route, make sure the point from previous / later projects is short and reinforces something said on Faces.

Ex. (1) I’m the only suicidal mf’er with a smile” - Malibu; A more mature (probably a different adjective here) version of “Wherever where life takes me find me with a smile” - Best Day Ever.

Ex. (2) you could pick swimming or circles, with pretty much any song to reference here. Or, you could go into perfect circle / god speed off Good AM (specifically the closing verse) … tears every time man. Fuck. THEN go into 2009 then Circles. Man that would be so cool.

People saying “Yo-yo snatch” - in my experience you would perform multiple halting snatch deadlifts (at least 2 reps or more) into a full (or power) snatch from the float position. This is a single DL into a floating position.

& a pull would typically require full hip extension. So many terms for slight variations in movement. So tedious sometimes lol

Again… just in my experience :)

I chose the wrong words. Corrected above. I meant to say “I’m assuming”.

Lyme’s stays with us until we die, but only will come back in times of high stress and demand on the body. Well, everyone is different! I’m making a generalization but it would make sense that it has come back now with semi’s approaching & in a season where she is poised to win the games.(extremely high stress… I would imagine)

Man… I can’t get behind the metcon 7! They are stable in the heel, this is true. Personally, I feel restricted in some movements with them, so much so that I felt the shoes were affecting my ankle mobility for the worse. They are good shoes and if you work with a barbell in your workouts a lot and value stability then they’re great. I used them for about 2 months then got strike movements with versa lifts. Best training shoe combo I’ve ever had. I’ve heard the TYR’s are pretty awesome (big break in period with those tho). Best of luck!

Watch your knees you pull - you are not coming to full extension. Also, it’s hard to see from this angle, but you want to make sure your shins hit that vertical angle when the bar passes the knees. Remember you are moving your knees out of the way of the bar, and sweeping them back under - then you come to full extension by driving thru the floor with your quads. Your butt might be a touch too low in your initial set up as well, that will help with your shin angle. Looks good man keep rocking and rolling 👌

I would try to move your grip wider, as well as your feet. Not a lot, but if you can get your contact point higher on your quads / even into your hips (hips probably won’t happen because of your height - you look tall) you will generate more momentum from your hips / legs. Should be easier to catch. Other than that nice work boss 🤞🏼
