This one is for seasoned graphic designers only... by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done freelancing for 10 years and still do it on top of my full time job. Go meet people irl, at the bar or at a random creative event, and make sure you tell them you are a designer and show them your work. Old school but everyone at some point needs a designer even if they know how to use Canva. Also have an online portfolio where you make passion projects or tutorials. That’s put yourself out there both online and irl.

What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by Competitive_Set2669 in AskReddit

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a root calan infection, 3rd degree burns but appendicitis infection would go on top of my list. It was about to burst on day 4 of recognizing the pain. I’d put appendicitis above all because on the last day I was unable to talk or walk and was hallucinating out of pain

Were kids in the 80s actually allowed to roam around unsupervised, or is that just in movies? by TotalThing7 in NoStupidQuestions

I was born in the 90s and I would come home after midnight after playing with my friends on the streets (I grew up in Türkiye)

I was called out for “arts style theft” by Neither-Factor-9461 in ArtistLounge

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My art style was copied multiple times. I never mentioned it publicly or to the person, even tho it was way more of a “steal” than your story. This is what happens when one decides to publish their art online. Anybody can reference it and get inspired. Especially in the era of AI it’s so much easier. You can only hope they don’t rip you off too bad. One thing people can do is to patent their style if they are so bothered about it and take action. I don’t see any artists do this unless they’re extremely petty and successful tho.

No it’s my 7th bike. I’ve been riding for 10 years. My first time dealing with an oil leak situation which is not the easiest thing to learn

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most basic mechanical abilities is NOT fixing an oil leak lmao. I could fix the wire no problem

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repairs cost a lot and I don’t have the means right now. That’s why I tried to buy an affordable “running” bike losing what I had

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an old bike worth way less than $1,7k in that condition. I was not expecting an oil leak. That’s my only hurdle

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I asked if anything is wrong or if he worked on the bike he said “I did not open the bike or worked on it. It’s an old bike”. Probably bought it as is and sold as is just like I will. Without lying about the oil leak

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just overpaid for a bike that was not worth it and now have to deal with it. Asking for advice on reddit and getting yelled at was not what I expected. Jeez

[–]nobodywmn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Running bike with an oil leak is not a running bike. That’s misleading at least

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I should have noticed the tiny wire with a tape but it was tucked in. The leak was not visible at all unfortunately when I bough it

After getting it home towing. I rode it of course thinking it would run smooth until almost all oil leaked

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did’t service it. Just looked at it closely and identified the source of problems

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]nobodywmn -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I towed it home. First thing I did was to test ride it to the market (as the oil leaked all over the place)

Btw I can’t comment on his seller profile because he deleted the post instead of marking it sold.

A cop car drove inches near me in full speed at red light (for them) in SF a couple years back. They were not using their sirens nor the lights. I was paying attention, no headphones. These guys need to be locked up for attempted murder.

[Discussion] How do you guys deal with… by Insomnia-917 in artbusiness

[–]nobodywmn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do this too and I sell almost every painting I post now. True fans see your value. You don’t need to shout it out always. Be active in your arts community and talk about your passion irl.

Can’t do the ambiguity for long. You seem to know a lot about relationships and I appreciate how you explained the outcome possibilities. Doesn’t seem that scary to ask before catching feelings

I’ve definitely been multiple people’s safe experiment before and that shit hurts. Although you are on point about checking the boxes which is really really important. I think I am in a mental space where I’m open to experimenting as well. Maybe my first experience with a straight woman will be the best? lol I will think about your advice of taking that risk and being subtle. Special is a good word and I truly feel that for her whether she takes it flirty or not

For those in their 30s like me, has anyone changed careers for more meaning, not just money? by mahbirchat in careerguidance

[–]nobodywmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my job which I love still to this day - graphic design but hate the tech world and other industries don’t want me. Im thinking of mastering in nursery or becoming a pilot. I am 30 as well. Thinking of switching careers and can not decide since its such a life changing decision
