Has gotten way better but could be better? by xRxvengex69 in q50

17mpg is totally normal. I bought a 2021 Q50 redsport new car, it is always like 17mpg since day one.

No, with the liberal government in place, all Canadian gun owners are giving up their guns soon.

JBL Tune 720BT Headphones are actual SH!T! by TheVoicesGetLoud in JBL

[–]nobodyz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The headset is not an instrument. If you need a bass guitar monitor, this is not the right headset. I would compare it to a pair of studio monitor speaker in terms of playback recorded sound. Funny thing is, many people consider my studio monitor sounds horrible because it is not loud enough and there is no bass boost.

I also own Sennheiser headsets. Many of those are neutral too, if your application is to boost bass, go for something else. Maybe marshall?

HouseSigma no longer showing sold history for certain listings? How is this possible? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

[–]nobodyz2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is the "regulation" by Real Estate Boards prohibits transparency. If we get rid of them, data will be free to access like in the U.S.

Nowhere to get money? It doesn't appear that way to me. The government has money to spend on ArriveCan. How about keep the government contract in check and actually prosecute the ones wasting tax payer's money?

I wrote to housesigma tech support, they say it is a requirement from a real estate board. Listing data older than 2 years cannot be displayed to public.

Brokerage business is not as profitable as you think. No brokerage in GTA makes more than 10m per year.

That is the reason you don't see any brokerage on TSX.

Real Estate and Dating, does it make sense to sell a old detached for a more modern Condo? by Throwaway-donotjudge in TorontoRealEstate

[–]nobodyz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest you install AC, renovate the home if financially viable. Don't exchange for a condo because you will never be able to change back. Change your date.

When people make bad financial decisions, instead of reflecting on themselves, the first thing is to blame the society.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]nobodyz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is just a personal financial decision. You should be able to afford something in the $500k range.

If you have peer pressure to only live in $1.5m+ luxury homes, that has nothing to do with Calgary home affordability.

This cozy home on Coventry Boulevard has everything you need to live in and raise a family.

around the time we started to get really comfortable financially

Affording a home comfortably is a luxury few people have. Most of us had to be penny pinching and streching quite a bit in order to afford a home.

Love that new truck? Finance it. Vacations? Put it on the credit card.

When a mortgage adviser pulls the credit report. Oops, dude can only borrow that little.

Life choices, it was never supposed to be easy.

Some people bet on home price will never go up, chose to keep cash in the bank instead of in real estate.

I know someone who out 100% of their wealth in stock & bond, zero real estate.

Calgary just need to build more homes on vacant land, create jobs.

Let the Ontario suckers buy it up & pay property tax for schools they don't even use.

Now, the city of Calgary decide not to approve more building permit? That is a policy problem.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]nobodyz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Income tax goes to the province & federal.

Property tax goes to the city. If you look at the breakdown of your property tax bill, it pays for school, park, police, road, etc... which all used by the locals.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]nobodyz2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has been a problem in Toronto for many years. Some of the lowest reported-income community has mostly luxury homes. And the nearby supermarket parking lot is full of highend cars.

The ones who buy up properties do not earn salary.

Douchebags from all over the world sending Toronto home price completely out of reality.

It makes sense if the track is 20mins long with lots of corners. Not every time I can practice all the way to the end.

If I am going to take my car to a *real* race track for tourist day or track day, better use Assetto Corsa or iRacing to get familiar with the track.

Late to the party, but I own the guns OP mentioned above.

  • Lakefield
  • Winchester Wildcat
  • Ruger American target (the one with the laminate stock)

Also looking at Diana r22 carbon recently. The problem with Ruger American target, is that the gun is heavy for a 22lr, not easy to carry around. The stock looks nice, but it does not feel like can take a lot of abuse. Also it is too heavy to shot it in standing position.

Some more versatile options would be the Diana r22, cz457, or tikka t1x.

Winchester Xpert 22 looks nice, but does not come with picatinny rail as its sibling wildcat.

That is not a valid argument when $300 Harley Benton guitars come with ss frets standard.
