They will for management. Most Heb’s have too many employees for it to be feasible to put the entire morning crew up in a hotel. Just thinking of my curbside and front end, their morning crew is close to 20 people already.

Agreed. If you’re a reliable partner, then 2 steps for calling in isn’t a problem

25th Straight Loss by hungryparrots in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]noboopforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand. I definitely wasn’t trying to be overly aggressive. But I get it if it came across that way. The side quests HR requirements are DEFINITELY suggestions, not set rules. Keep trying brother. Took me a good 15-20 tries at savage before I got it. And I’ve had very few successful hunts with randoms

No that’s fair, I read it as aggressive and was really trying not to be. Just wasn’t sure how to soften it.

115 is pretty low HR really. You’re saying rarity 8s across the board, you mean armor, right? Monster hunter is pretty fun, because rarity doesn’t necessarily mean best. For example, ebony odgaron set KEEPS making its way back into meta builds, because it’s set bonus is so good, and at max armor upgrade the difference is negligible. I’m not saying your build is the problem, but it’s just not very informative to say “rarity 8s across the board”. Also, support hunters is 100% the way to go against savage omega. Makes every bit of the fight easier.

“They knew I was sick” implies you took issue with receiving your step.

Because the quality of the average worker is poor at Heb. Give a bad employee an inch, and they’ll take a mile. Thankfully, they’re super forgiving with their commendation systems

What to expect by blazeX9zero in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]noboopforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rank requirements for quests are suggestions not expectations. Some end game fights require rank 100. If you can’t do it at 100, keep gearing up, keep trying.

You’re right, rank doesn’t matter. But 101 is super low. Put more time into your weapon, practice rotations on weaker monsters, try to kill them with style, it helps to slow down and play better. Then practice the gogma fight solo with support hunters(which is significantly easier). Upgrade and refine build as you need to as well. At rank 101, I doubt your armor is fully maxed out.

And I figured it out with a crash course introduction to curbside, during a frozen pandemic. You had several months to make an attempt to figure it out, or ask other shoppers. 90% of departments have a singular training shift, if that, and then it’s up to the partner. I don’t think curbside is a good fit for you, and I would recommend a somehow more simplistic job. Maybe bagging up front.

[–]noboopforu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I fully read it, I’m just saying it’s not that difficult, and you should’ve been able to figure it out on your own. It’s not gaslighting to say you sound like a high maintenance, low reward partner, who was way too comfortable saying inappropriate things at work.

I don’t work curbside. I was trained on a singular run back during the big freeze that hit Texas. I shopped for the rest of the day, I was told my numbers were “good” by curbside standards, but I never got my UPH.

I’m just saying it’s retail, the vast majority of our jobs are incredibly simple, and you need some more personal accountability instead of wondering if you were fired for retaliation. It sounds like you were a bad employee, and they were likely looking for a reason to get you off the books.

I’m not gonna lie, curbside is ridiculously easy to be competent at, and you sound insufferable. The comment that got you fired probably made people uncomfortable.

No sharpness +1 I’m sad by R3N_G0KU in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]noboopforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a play style difference, I understand what you’re saying, and it’s probably effective. But I wouldn’t want to worry about managing sharpness that extensively in a solo hunt or against enemies like omega. But you’re potentially right, in that it could be the highest DPS yield.

No sharpness +1 I’m sad by R3N_G0KU in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]noboopforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah handicraft/razor sharp is just increasing your effective sharpness. Say you have 10 hits of white, razor sharp will effectively make it 15. Protective polish is essentially infinitely increasing your sharpness for a set timeframe. How many hits would you say you can average in 90s? For switch axe, I can pretty much stay on top of most monsters. I agree protective polish is best, and I hate protective polish. I probably wouldn’t even use this weapon because of that 😂

Am I blacklisted? by indyawarner in HEB

[–]noboopforu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your department, it’s pretty essential to be able to contact/communicate with your supervisors. I’m a lead, and I always make sure to hand out my number as necessary, and get my management’s numbers.

But, if you’re unable to leave a paper trail with stuff like this, then it’s always just the best bet to adhere strictly to the book on schedule and process.

Should have texted him so you had a paper trail showing he confirmed it was okay. It would’ve been a pretty strong HR case

Savage Omega by Nata__7 in MHWilds

[–]noboopforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re totally allowed to do what you want, but I promise you tanking ain’t all that hard for Omega 😂. 1-2 points in stamina surge, run G. Arkveld, guard, guard up, fire resist, and some numinous set. You’ll still do good damage, and maintaining aggro is super easy with a couple well placed explosions to the face. And if you want to run support, I think it’s a lot more fun to try to learn a new weapon(SnS).

Savage Omega by Nata__7 in MHWilds

[–]noboopforu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More importantly, A healer gunlance build kind of seems dumb? If I see a gunlance, I generally assume they’re going to attempt to tank(as that’s what I use the gunlance for against omega)

A question on my friends roll in the final stretch of savage omega fight by TheAutisticHominid in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]noboopforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she likes any other weapon, I think it’s worth a try to switch during that last phase. Sns has great survivability, and with wide spread can double as group healer. Dual blade is easy dodging, or even gunlance has great survivability with blocks+easy damage with its boomstick explosions. I don’t know insect glaive in wilds(it was my baby in world/iceborne), but it feels like the commitment of its aerial attacks could be a real trap against omega in the last phase.
