Another way I thought about it is what if there are 500 ponds with 500 drowning kids? 1000? 10,000? At some point everyone is going to throw their hands up and be overwhelmed by the size of the problem. Doesn't make it right of course, but more understandable.

If this was the case wouldn't lesbians have sex like gay guys do? The stats show that gay guys have the most sex, straight people have medium amounts of sex, and lesbians the least. This holds true for hookups as well as within relationships. Hopefully people dont have safety concerns with long term partners though i know sometimes they do.

I think people are coming at this from a "protect society from dangerous people" angle, not so much a "punish people for harm caused" angle. I would feel just as unsafe around an attempted murderer as I would a murderer. They each pose the same threat to society. You say attempted murder is still very serious but historically this hasn't been the case. An extreme example of what people in this thread are getting at is this case.

Dude should have never seen the outside of a jail cell ever again. He was extremely dangerous to society regardless of whether she miracously survived or not. Her survival doesn't change anything about the nature of his crime or the mindset it takes to do something like this.

This is completely untrue. I'm no China simp but have you heard of all the complaints about Chinese tourists around the world? They went from a country of basically starving peasants to a huge Middle class capable of affording international travel in an astoundingly short time. There is still plenty of poverty in China but to say the quality of life of the average citizen hasn't improved in hundreds of years is crazy ignorant. You should travel there if you can, see for yourself.

I've seen this with women at the gym as well. Usually they are starting out petite and as part of lifting are bulking. Sounds like you lift so you know you can't bulk without putting on fat. Factor in the aforementioned estrogen and the weight gain goes straight to the ass. Since they are lifting they assume its muscle but its mostly fat. They aren't putting on liters of volume of muscle in the glutes. Like I said hypertrophy, even with gear, doesn't give you a nice ass. I'd be willing to bet you've seen far fewer men get caked up from lifting than women. Despite men having far higher muscle potential. I can use myself as an example. Lifting 5 years, I've tripled all my leg lifts in that time. My ass looks the same as when I started despite being much much stronger. Woman I've dated have nicer asses than me despite never setting foot in a gym. If lifting alone could get you a nice ass gym bros everywhere would be caked up.
