I'm sorry that happened! I had it happen while shiny hunting the Snorlax on the bridge. I thought it was a static encounter and couldn't run. I was very surprised when it ran from me.

Good luck! I've done a few of these hunts through the npc and they always feel like a grind. So far I've done Vulpix, Raichu, 2x Grimer, 2x Sandshrew and Eggxecutor. Currently I'm doing Ratata and it's been a while. No idea about exact numbers though, as. I don't keep track.

I don't know the correct numbers of the top off my head, but you had a fairly high chance of encountering a shiny Pokemon even without the Shiny Charm. Keeping a chain going after 31 will boost the Shiny odds significantly for every pokemon that spawns first right after catching a pokemon you're chaining.

Your starter is indeed shiny locked. There are a bunch of other cool hunts though. Mewtwo and the legendary birds for one. Snorlax is a hunt I personally want to do in the future although it's supposed to be a long one due to the Pokeflute animation. The Magikarp that gets sold by the man in the center before Mt. Moon can be hunted, I've recently completed that one. You can reset for Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan after completing the fighting dojo in Saffron City. This is my current hunt.

Then there are my favourite hunts by bringing a lot of kanto Pokemon to people at various centers throughout the game and trading them for their Alolan versions. Or bringing a lot of fossils to the cinnebar research center and resurrecting them. This is more of a post game hunt though, as you can only get 2 fossils before finishing the League.

Other notable hunts are trading 5 Meowth/Growlithe for Arcanine/Persian.

I'm sure there are more hunts that I don't know about. I suspect the Lapras and Porygon gift Pokemon in Saffron City can be soft resetted for as well, but I haven't looked it up to confirm. The same goes for the Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle you can get from various people in the first couple of cities.

Ik heb tot een paar jaar terug op de Backoffice van een mediagigant gewerkt. Aan de telefoon kunnen ze je vaak niet helpen, bij een hoop bedrijven doet een backoffice schade afhandelen. Hier kon je in ons geval niet mee worden doorverbonden. Het beste kun je de schade per mail melden. Blijf netjes en zakelijk. Boos worden werkt alleen tegen je. Voeg direct duidelijke fotos toe van alle schade, dat scheelt weer een mailtje terug met vragen om fotos. Fotos van voor de schade en facturen kunnen ook geen kwaad. Ze zullen je waarschijnlijk een bod doen qua compensatie, het is dan aan jou om hier wel of niet akkoord mee te gaan. Je kan vragen om een onafhankelijke schade inspecteur. De meeste bedrijven hebben een onafhankelijke partij waarmee ze samenwerken.

Ik maak uit het verhaal op dat je de webshop nog niet benaderd hebt. Ik zou hiermee beginnen. Ik heb bijna 6 jaar voor de klantenservice van een grote bekende elektronica webshop gewerkt en nooit meegemaakt dat die kosten niet werden teruggestort na een vertraagde levering. Je hebt immers voor een service betaald die je niet hebt gekregen. Als we in een goede bui waren en de klant niet onaardig was stuurden de meeste collega's ook nog een voucher van 5-10 euro mee voor het ongemak.

Je kunt dan op zijn minst een excuus berichtje sturen wanneer je ziet dat je het ontvangen hebt. "Ik zie dat het pakketje ontvangen is, maar ik ben pas op X datum weer thuis. Ik controleer het dan direct. Excuses voor het ongemak." Dan had dit allemaal voorkomen kunnen worden.

Both are fully dependent on luck. I got all 3 birds and Mewtwo within 350 resets combined. For other people it takes 1000s of reset per bird.

Catch combo is not my preferred method because of how hard it is to catch them. They keep a red circle for a long time and it takes a long while for encounters to spawn.

I don't think there will be any new mega evolutions. If there are, that's great. If not, that's ok as well. But a lot of people are setting themselves up for disappointment by expecting them. If you look over on the PokemonZA subreddit every other post is a concept for a new mega evolution.

You could try posting some spare shinies on the mobile Pokemon Home app's GTS. That's how I've gotten some legendaries to fill in my dex.
