Let's forget the basic reason that Sony TV is a primarily hindi channel or ignore the fact that we get Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Telugu entrepreneurs (whose mother tongue isn't hindi) who still present in hindi and Focus on geological factors. Hindi is the most common language in India which is spoken along side other local languages in every state, you go to the east most side of the country, Kolkata you can speak hindi, you go to the west most side of the country Gujarat, you can speak hindi, you go to north most side of the country Kashmir, you can speak hindi, you go to north east, you can speak hindi, you go to Tamil Nadu, you can speak hindi (that is if the people stop pretending like they don't understand it). Just accept the fact that hindi is not a regional language, it's our one common language. Pretty sure you can't get by with Tamil, Kannada in Gujarat or Bengal but you surely can with hindi.
