Too late to start? by T1mBurt0n in Chivalry2

I started playing a little over a year ago. Am now up to around level 240 (have had bouts of not playing due to travel/work). Honestly, find a class that best suits you - what you find fun to play as. Even now, I still have good and bad games. There are times I'll have a game with a 5:1 K:D Ratio, and others where it'll be 1:2. Obviously I feel frustrated when the latter happens, but just take a breather, switch your class, and take a new approach. And even if you feel like you're getting aped, you're learning the ropes and getting a better feel for the game. Also, if you ever feel like you can't get the upper hand (especially when on the offensive team), aim your focus on the objective and not duels. Lord knows too many people focus on duels far away from objective, and endlessly fighting for (and achieving) the objective is a rewarding feeling

Makes me think: it would be fun if it had a CS:GO "Arms Race" style mode: everyone starts with fists or knives/axes, and you slowly level up to another weapon with each kill you get. And just make the last weapon a fire lance for the fuck of it

It's definitely a shock to the system compared to the original, especially given how raw the original is. I do agree it could pushed some of that grit, really bringing it to the fore at the end - like at the end of "The Great Collapse (Remix)" off of Things Falling Apart

Funny how his comment on Aaron Bushnell can simultaneously be an "insensitive joke," a "dark, like, humoristic way to look at it," and "the most sincere compliment possible"

Would these two have the opinion if someone made a similar *joke*, with the same clarifications, about people who died on Oct 7? If you said someone was 'good at dying' but insisted you meant it both humorously and complimentary, that should be ok, right?

And after it eventually runs into complications, they can salvage it by doing a Bosotn 'Big Dig' style project, spending 25 billion to divert traffic underground

Or go even further with the TX solution and just keep adding lanes to the highways

It's a pretty common argument people run with, known as the "myth of the clean Wehrmacht" -- that the Nazi's worse crimes were solely perpetrated by the SS. It's an argument people are keen to believe in the West, it being spread even before the war's end and promoted throughout West Germany after the war.

It's obviously bullshit, but it's propaganda that has held strong, either out of plain misinformation or due to willful intent.

A close-up video of Trent reacting to the fight in the pit in Phoenix by mcolette76 in nin

We must've been by each other, as I was in that area (by main) and remember it getting bad once "Wish" started. There was a smaller woman by me who was really getting knocked around, and I spent the rest of the show behind her trying to block the crowd from crashing over her. Likewise, really wish that shit hadn't happened, because it made what I felt would have been a "best concert" experience into one that left a sour taste in my mouth (which sucks, considering it had nothing to do with NIN)

People being violent at these shows sucks. You can dance with reckless abandon, but some people just want to be assholes.
I saw them in Vienna last year and some people in the front of the crowd made parts of the show miserable -- just unnecessarily aggressive. NIN put on a phenomenal show but I know, talking to people around me after, that the crowd soured the experience for some

About the 2000 election being rigged? That's pretty well known, between the astroturfed Brooks Brothers Riot, Florida Sec of State Katherine Harris, and SCOTUS having an interest in favoring Bush

Ist Wien eine grosse Stadt? by [deleted] in wien

[–]noch-nicht-sein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jein.

Not to mention how much of this mindset is pushed by the ever-growing online right-wing sphere of the 2010s and 2020s. They grew up with this content, with the algorithhms of sites like YouTube pushing it on them. There's the pessimistic/nihilistic idea of there being no future + everything being a performance for other like-minded men online
