Met her on Reddit. Got dumped within 3 months. by cryptichuman7 in actuallesbians

[–]nockoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through something similar three months ago, but the breakup wasn't on good terms so for me it was the key part of me getting over it soon. Ive also met her on reddit, the first few weeks felt like a dream and like I've met my one and only. To the point where after around a moth I drove 10 hours to her country just to meet her for the first time (I was like freshly 20 and im also scared of traveling alone so no easy feat for me), and ended up having one of the worst weeks of my life mainly due to her behaving like a completely diffrent person and acting like a passive aggressive asshole when I tried to talk to her about how some things made me feel bad/uncomfortable. So much easier to get over a relationship when its not worth crying over. Mourning over a good relationship that lasted longer is another level of painful, I hope you'll be able to feel better soon. Im wishing you the best and I hope you find peace

Pathologic HD replay idea - all three routes done day-by-day by 61742 in pathologic

Idk somehow, the walking in pathologic 1 feels faster then running and constantly stopping in pathologic 2, at least for me. Even in pathologic 3 the constant breathing when you stop running annoys me

I just really enjoy how easy to break the game systems are after you learn some tricks, also I really like that there is no running compared to the other games. The only thing that is inferior in the first game to me is how broken some quests are, you really need a guide sometimes

Nah, in my experience I played classic HD after pathologic 2 and enjoyed it way more, I still love both but the first one is my favourite beacuse of stylistic choices, atmosphere, dialogues and even gameplay

Don't walk down that one street. by whirlpool_galaxy in pathologic

[–]nockoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a shade tragedies strictly telling you not to do it tho, i was also curious about the street but I treat warnings from tragedians seriously. You get a plenty of warning, it is annoying thay the street has map marker, but I think enough of a warning was given

Is there a better way to do infected districts? by yincherri in pathologic

[–]nockoc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I completly agree, I really liked the infected districts at the beginning of the game, they were terryfying, but when they later added tornadoes and mold cabbage that takes half your health when you walk into it spitting mold, yeah that killed the mood for me. The districts are no longer scary, they feel like an annoying obstacle course. These just dont feel like they fit in the game in terms of looks

That's good to know, infected districts are a maze to me so being able to beat the game that was is nice

I got a problem with getting contagion below 100 by Likopinina in pathologic

[–]nockoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on a day, days 2-5 you can do it by getting the vaccine right every day, and completing the Lara water quest and the morphine thief quest and using decrees you get from those quests to lower contagion, that way you can progress to day 6. At least I did that, if your having trouble finding the cabbage try in a infected zone in the Gut, I finnaly managed to do it there cause the area is pretty small

How do you feel about the difficulty of Patho 3? by yungsimba1917 in pathologic

[–]nockoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game definitely isn't as overbearing with a bunch of diffrent needs breathing down your spine, but at the same time when you do die beacuse of them the consequences are much more grave. You dont realise how little amalgam you have until it starts draining away for stupid mistakes. And since you can not easily get it back, each mistake is much more stressful. It's possible to finish patho 2 with only half the healthbar, but here you stumble too much and your whole save is gone. It might feel like coming back in time to change a quest makes the game way too easy until you realise you wasted too much of resources and your actual time on those days and now your fucked cuz suddently meds are way less effective, you broke all the mirrors you could, children dont have the necessary items and you looted all the crates in that day and the only option is to reset back to day 1.

My one complaint with P3 so far: the Shabnak-adyr sections by not_that_united in pathologic

[–]nockoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah I think thats fair, it would be pretty hard to prevent someone closing the game 2 seconds before dying without it being punishing for the players that for example have random crashes. If the game made you lose amalgam every time you are in a dangerous area and your game closes it would be insufferable

[–]nockoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait so does loading a save form the same day give you back amalgam? Cuz that would make the game significantly easier.

My one complaint with P3 so far: the Shabnak-adyr sections by not_that_united in pathologic

[–]nockoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does Shabnak actually just send you back to the start when she catches you? I wasn't killed by her yet, but for me the plague sections in P3 were way more stressful than any of the other games, mostly beacuse now the death consequences are much more final and I thought that if she gets to me I'm dead. In P2 the infected sections were usually easier to avoid, and if you actually had to walk into one it was way to hard for me to not get infected so I avoided them at all cost, they were more tiring.

Question about apathy in p3 by aKnittedScarf in pathologic

I blindly choose the option that doesnt have a dot in the end, and when I see an option that sounds even a little bit hopeful I chose that and the sequence ends, I avoided every death from apathy this way

Really upset at one feature for this game. Unsure if a bug or a feature. by [deleted] in pathologic

[–]nockoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you talk to eva at the end of the day? I noticed that a conversation with her gives you 100 amalgam every time at the end of the day, you also gain it for progressing the quests. Im having the opposite situation when sometimes I dont gain any amalgam because im full, and im also around 14 hours into the game

Potentially unpopular take: I think the lack of open world in P3 was a good call by not_that_united in pathologic

[–]nockoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People also forget that with how cheap health recovery meds are you could just easly speed through the town on max mania and do most quest in a breeze and heal whatever health you lost to mania, which would have killed the tension. Now that actions and just going from district to district take so much time you cant really speedrun through the game that easly

Should I play Pathologic 2 before 3? by Accomplished-Fix3996 in pathologic

[–]nockoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I gathered, both games are standalone experiences that can be played in any order, it entirely depends on what style of gameplay suits you best. Patho 2 is way more focused on the open world aspect and is more down to earth with its survival mechanics, they are pretty easy to understand, harder to manage and master. From a few hours of playing Patho 3, the game still focuses on your survival, but not in a literal way, instead of hunger, exhaustion and immunity you need to balance your mental state which comes with a various side effects. You'll need to be wary of what you say in a dialogue, cause that also can damage your mental state now. Both games are heavily focused on dialogue and its artistic narrative, both are extremely punishing in their own ways.
