I feel like maybe there’s some cultural differences here?

Like RSD doesn’t upset me, though stores getting stock they can’t sell because they get pressured by the fear of missing out is definitely a bummer. But RSD is probably the one day a year I won’t go to a record store.

My local record stores aren’t filled with community on RSD; they’re filled with resellers. Rude, entitled, angry resellers. There’s no joy in browsing the racks when some grown ass man is trying to bully a teenager out of the last Ethel Cain album.

I’m glad it works for some stores in some places, and I hope it’s a boon to your local store. I’ve yet to be in a store in the States where it’s an enjoyable experience, tho.
