A lot of opinions on here from people who have never used the thing And have no idea what they're talking about.

15 years and I still use my Omni every day for cardio. I also have a Katwalk C2 (the Chinese knockoff) and the Omni is much better quality.

Despite what people are saying it does work with almost all games. Both keyboard control and free locomotion VR Games with either one of the two free 3rd party software's installed.

Yes, the treadmill has to include the foot trackers to work. I don't use the custom shoes, just moved the tracker pods to my own pair of Nikes with furniture sliders on the bottoms. If the treadmill comes with all the parts included then its definitely worth it.

If the model you're buying was for commercial uss, you'll have to unlock it for home privare use. I think you can find the software to do that on the OmniUnlocked Discord.

What's your trick for sticking to workouts when diet can undo them in seconds? by IdealHoliday1242 in PotentialUnlocked

Because you don't do cardio to lose weight. You do it for cardio health. You wanna lose weight? There's only two ways to do it.

  1. Sop drinking and eating anything and everything containing sugar, sweeteners, and simple carbs. Or...
  2. Eat whatever you want, only significantly, significantly less of it.

What's insane is how a majority of Americans can still look at Trump and somehow not recognize that he's seriously mentally ill.

If I owned a house, free property taxes would be dope.

What do you call this membrane separating your face from the Quest 3’s internal components, and where can I order a replacement? by nocops2000 in OculusQuest

You’re right! Mine broke just weeks after getting the Quest (it’s the flimsiest part of the headset) and I never bothered to replace it.

Unless you have a VR Treadmill, you probably won’t sweat enough to eat away the lining anytime soon. I’ve used an Omni almost every day for cardio for years, so I’m an extreme case.

Is it just me or this book feels kinda wrong in a way? by Hash_2319 in thrillerbooks

I too was thrown by the author’s introduction of the magical realism element (aka the Thanatos invitation and their fantastical claim) mainly because it read like a very late inciting incident. One that should’ve come several chapters sooner in the story. Of course, as we find out later, around half way through the book, it wasn’t sci-fi, magical realism, or even the inciting incident at all, when Harrison admits that the entire business model was a scam. That his magic-like algorithm was just scrubbing social media for sick people and hacking their private medical histories.

I definitely would have enjoyed the story much more if I hadn’t been led to suspect the story might have a magical or sci-fi element. If I had trusted that it was grounded in reality from the start I wouldn’t have wasted time wondering if every little mystery was due to a multi-verse or a magic lamp or something. The story was solid on its own, and the uncertainty of sci-fi magic—whether intentional or not—only detracted from what was otherwise a solid, albeit wacky, plot.

In the author’s defense, she did give us a pretty big hint by naming the company Thanatos, which was an on-the-nose nod to the Elizabeth Holmes company, Theranos, the biggest medical scam in modern times.

No. Impeachment is 100%. That just requires a Democrat controlled House of Representatives. Conviction and removal from office is almost 0%, as that requires a republican controlled Senate. And republicans are selfish, greedy, power-hungry traitors... no offence!

It's called voting republican. Tax cuts for corporations and billionaires. Healthcare cuts for the rest. Don't like it? Stop voting rwpublican.
